The Winter Wanderer III
The cold breeze whispers secrets in the night,
As heavy rain falls, turning to ice in flight.
Each droplet a memory, a shard of time,
Of days spent with you, of days in our prime.I stand alone, feeling the chill seep through,
Every gust, every drop, brings thoughts of you.
The rain once gentle, now sharp as glass,
Reflects my longing, the time that has passed.Do you feel the cold, as I do here?
Does the rain remind you of times so dear?
In this storm, I seek warmth in vain,
Hoping to see you, to ease my pain. The streets are empty, the world a blur,
My heart beats faster, thinking of her.
Ice forms on windows, on leaves and stone,
Echoing the frost that chills my bone. The sky cries with me, a shared despair,
For the love we lost, for the dreams laid bare.
I reach out in the dark, seeking your face,
Longing to hold you, in this icy embrace. But you're not here, and the night grows long,
The rain turns harder, like a sorrowful song.
In this tempest, I remain alone,
Longing for you, my heart your home.If you could hear me, amidst the storm’s wail,
You'd know my love for you, steadfast, won’t fail.
Through cold breeze and rain, my heart remains true,
In this frozen night, I’m still longing for you.Yet here I wander, through snow and sleet,
Searching for echoes of you on these streets.
Each step I take, heavy with despair,
Hoping one day, I’ll find you there. The ice clings to my coat, my breath a plume,
As I traverse this endless, wintry gloom.
Memories of you, like stars, guide my way,
Through the darkest night, through the coldest day.Your laughter, your smile, your gentle touch,
In this frigid silence, I miss them so much.
I whisper your name into the night’s cold air,
Praying you’ll answer, that you’ll be there. The snow keeps falling, a relentless tide,
But I’ll keep wandering, with you as my guide.
In this frozen world, my love stays warm,
A beacon of hope, in this relentless storm. For even as the ice forms, as the night grows still,
My heart beats for you, with an unwavering will.
The cold can’t claim what burns so bright,
My love for you, my guiding light. And though the path is lonely, the way unclear,
I’ll keep on walking, year after year.
Until the day the thaw arrives,
And in your arms, my love revives. For now, I wander, through ice and snow,
But my heart knows where it longs to go.
To you, my love, through storm and night,
I’ll find my way back, to make things right.
