Shelter in the Storm
When the world seems vast and unkind,
And shadows of doubt cloud your mind,
Know that in my arms you'll find,
A refuge, a love, of the rarest kind.If ever you wander, lost and alone,
With no place to call your own,
I’ll be your sanctuary, a steadfast home,
Where all your fears are overthrown.I’ll be the harbor in your tempest,
A constant amidst your unrest,
Striving to be my very best,
Even if my love remains unconfessed. For you, I’d face my deepest flaws,
Overcome my fears without a pause,
To keep you safe, to mend the cause,
Of every tear, every silent clause.Even if your heart never aligns with mine,
I’ll still be here, a beacon, a sign,
That in this world, through rain or shine,
You’ll always have a place to unwind.Even if the road is dark and cold,
And the journey seems endless and old,
I'll be your beacon, shining bright,
Guiding you through the longest night.I'll weather every storm and gale,
For you, my love, I cannot fail.
Even if hope seems distant and frail,
In my heart, you will always prevail.I'll rise above my flaws and fears,
For your happiness, I'll shed my tears.
No matter the cost, I'll stay near,
To be the one who holds you dear.So if the world should turn away,
And all you know begins to sway,
Remember this, my solemn vow,
I'll be your home, here and now.So, when you’re weary, worn, and torn,
Remember this promise, gently sworn,
That in my love, you’ll never be forlorn,
I’ll be your shelter, through life’s storm.
