Yuju wandered down a hallway in the school building. It was recess, but the hallway was empty because it was located in the still unfinished new building area. Although it was forbidden to be there, no one would notice her, which is why Yuju mostly spent her breaks there.

She walked to a window, where there was still no glass, and looked out at the schoolyard. Small 6th graders played soccer, and the older students sat under trees or engaged in sports themselves. Yuju leaned against the window and touched her heart.

Why can't I be normal too? I want to do things that people my age do.

Only a few teachers know that Yuju has a sick heart. She had asked them not to tell her class, but it was already bad enough for Yuju to see the sympathetic faces of the teachers.

"Pss"

Yuju gasped and looked around. There shouldn't be anyone here, right?"Down here!" she heard a male voice say. Yuju looked out the window and saw a boy holding onto the construction site. It seemed like he had run away from someone.

"Could you help me, maybe?" the boy stretched out one hand while holding onto the other. Yuju knew she wasn't strong, but she took his hand and pulled him up to her. When he stood on the ground in front of her, she recognized his face.Lee Heeseung. He is in her class and is about the school playboy.

Although he is very unpopular with the teachers, he is highly sought after by the students. Almost every girl in the school has a crush on him, even if they don't know him. There are rumors going around about him that he takes advantage of women. Besides being a playboy, he is also a troublemaker.

Heeseung spotted Yuju. He was a whole 20 centimeters, or even more, taller than her. He looked good, no joke, but Yuju didn't care for playboys. She noticed the colorful teacher's room key hanging out of his pocket.

"Did you steal it?" Yuju asked, reaching for the key. It was the first time Yuju talked to him. She thought about whether she should report him. Suddenly, Heeseung took out his phone and took a picture of Yuju. She was startled and the key accidentally fell to the ground. Lee Heeseung laughed.

"Now you can't report me; I have a picture of you with the teacher's room key in the off-limits construction area," he pointed at the photo he had taken of Yuju. Yuju wanted to grab his phone, but instead, she lost her balance. Before she could fall, Heeseung pulled on her hoodie zipper, and she slammed her back against him

"Delete it," she demanded, jumping around him to grab the phone from his hand. But she was far too small and Heeseung was far too big. He laughed.

"Looks like I picked a good victim," he chuckled as he made his phone disappear into his jacket pocket. Yuju raised an eyebrow.

"I needed someone to pin the blame on, and when I ran away from Mr. Lim, I saw you in the new development area and thought to make you the scapegoat," he grinned at her.

"I won't tell anyone! Do whatever you want with the key, but please delete the photo," Yuju whined. She was afraid of getting kicked out of school. Heeseung was still grinning and looking around.

"Later," he said casually, continuing to smile at Yuju. Yuju was on the verge of tears. If the teachers found out that she had stolen a key from the staff room, it would be the end for her.

"What do I have to do to get you to give him back?" Yuju asked, looking at him offended. Wow, she had never talked so much with a boy in her life.

"A lot," he said, laughing. Yuju kicked him in the leg and marched away.

"Hey, wait!" he called out, pain in his leg. He caught up with Yuju and walked alongside her.

"What's your name anyway?" he asked as he walked beside her.

Yuju was on her way to the classroom because class was about to start in a few minutes.

"Kirai Yuju," she replied, annoyed by the information. She didn't want to talk to him, so she hoped he would be satisfied with that information.

"Kirai? Yuju? Aren't those two different names from two different countries?" Heeseung wanted to know. They had already arrived at the main building; no one was in the hallways because it was still break time.

"Half Korean, half Japanese," murmured Yuju. She was done with him. She thought about how to delete the photo on his phone without him noticing.

"What grade are you in?" Heeseung continued to annoy her. They had already arrived at their classroom, and Heeseung stood confused.Yuju turned around at the door to look at him, annoyed.

"I'm the girl you called invisible before," she said defiantly as she entered the empty classroom and walked over to her seat. Heeseung was still confused. Suddenly, he sat down behind Yuju, where he actually wasn't supposed to be.

"Why are you sitting here?" Yuju asked, puzzled.

"Because I want to," Heeseung said, giving her a challenging smile. Yuju rolled her eyes and rested her head on her desk.
