Strange Hearts || Heeseung

"Is everything all right?" Yedam asked for the 10th time in a day, Yuju turned annoyingly to him and nodded.

"Yes, all right," she replied and went into the classroom with Garam.

It was strange for Yuju that now everyone knew about her illness, she had expected a different reaction than in her expectations. Now she is probably not as invisible as she once was.

"So great, we're going on a trip to the world tomorrow. I'm sorry it's so short notice but I completely forgot to tell you," announced Mr Lim.

Yuju has never been on a trip, she's never left Seoul herself, so it's all new for her.

The door of the classroom opened and Heeseung went in, closely followed by Yeona. Out of breath she stood before Mr Lim and made a deep bow, while Heeseung did not itch to sit in his place.

"We are truly sorry, Mr Lim. My bus was late, which is why I called Heeseung at short notice to pick me up and bring me here", she apologized.

"Heeseung and Yeona," said Yeonjon, grinning.

"When do you finally get together, you are just meant for each other!".

"We're just good friends, nothing else," Yeona assured and smiled giggling.

Only good friends?

Yuju's stomach cramped again and she looked out the window. She felt tears in her eyes gather but she could not weep.

Mr Lim waved and asked Yeona to take her place. She stumbled over her own feet and flew forward.

Everyone jumped up to see what had happened, Heeseung holding her face with his hand. Yeona stood cautiously from her knees and walked shamefully to her place; Heeseung's hand was marked with a make up face print.

"Bro, finally get together with Yeona!" Riki dares him and slaps him on the back. Heeseung rolled his eyes and leaned back into his seat.

Why would she hope that something could happen between her and Heeseung? Who would I want girls with a sick heart?

"You know what I don't understand?" asked Garam as they went out together after class, Yuju shrugged.

"It's clear that Heeseung and Yeona are friends, but why does he show their friendship and not yours? It's totally weird," she said and crossed her arms.

"He doesn't want to have any rumors with me," Yuju murmured weakly. She didn't feel well again, not as bad as yesterday but she still felt bad.

"What's going on? Is something wrong with your heart?" asked Garam, worried. It was new for her to know that Yuju has a weak heart, but she did her best.

"It's okay," she said, forcing a smile on her face. She had won the right and is now allowed to live with her mother.

"Bye," said Garam, sat in the car and drove up.

It started to rain, but that didn't bother Yuju; instead her heart hurt terribly, which made her kneel on the ground.

Has it already begun to give up?

"Invisible girl!" she heard Heeseung shouting, immediately two hands were around her shoulders, pulling herself up again. She looked into the face of Heeseung, who had received all the rain.

"Come on, why are you standing here in the rain?" he said and pulled her onto his motorcycle.

She didn't care what he did to her now.

She just wanted his closeness.

Just knowing that it will not be hers caused tears.

She supported her forehead on his back and wept; as it rained, one could not distinguish her tears from drops.
