"You're going on tour? When? For how long?" I ask Billie as she just mentioned that she was going on tour again. I'm sitting on her kitchen counter and watching her while she makes food.

"Well, yeah. I'm getting ready to release a new album soon. I'm gonna be doing a tour a few months after that," she says. "And it's probably gonna be a year or two,"

"Two years? That's such a long time," she laughs.

"How long do you think a tour lasts. It's at least a year. For me anyway. What's wrong with it being that long?"

"You're gonna be away that long?"

"Awe, is someone gonna miss me?" She asks in a flirty tone.

"Oh, you wish I would," I tell her.

"Well, I do plan on having another party before the tour starts. So, in like six months, there's gonna be another party at my house,"

"Planning a party six months in advance?" I ask her, and she nods.

"Is there a problem with that?" I quickly shake my head.

"No, not at all," I say, and she laughs.

"Anyway, I'm going to dinner with Claudia, Fin and some friends later would you like to join us?" She asks me.

"Probably not. Those are all your friends. I don't wanna intrude on that," I tell her.

"You wouldn't be intruding. I'm inviting you, meaning you're allowed to go. Now, if you don't want to go, that's fine, but I would really like it if you went with me," she says, giving me a look that makes it hard to say no. I sigh.

"Alright, I'll go,"

"Yay!" She celebrates. I roll my eyes.

"You're lucky you're pretty," I tell her.

"Awe, you think I'm pretty?" She asks in a flirty tone.

"Mm, yeah, definitely. Anyway, can we stop by my house before going to dinner so I can change?" I ask her. She nods and looks at me.

"Yeah, of course,"

When we get to my house, I notice that Cassie is home. I sigh and roll my eyes. Before I even open the door, I can hear her sad, heartbroken music blasting. It's been three weeks. I turn to look at Billie, who has a concerned look on her face. I open the door, and there's no Cassie in sight. I tell Billie to make herself comfortable in the living room while I get ready and to check on Cassie. I open the door to the guest bedroom and see Cassie lying in bed, on her phone with tears streaming down her face. I walk over to her, grab her phone, and turn off the music.

"Hey, what the fuck?" She says, quickly sitting up and looking at me.

"You done yet?" I ask her.

"I thought you weren't gonna be home tonight," she says.

"I'm just changing, but I will be home later," I tell her.

"Changing for what?"

"Billie invited me somewhere," she scoffs.

"Of course she did. She's always inviting you somewhere. Tell me again how it is that you found a way to become friends with a celebrity when you barely knew who she was?" I roll my eyes.

"Have you been drinking?" I ask her. She shakes her head.

"You don't know shit. I'm high," she corrects me. I roll my eyes. "Are you gonna answer my question or not?"

"Not until you're sober enough to understand," I tell her and leave the room. I go to my room and change and then make my way back to the living room. "Sorry, are you ready to go?" I ask her. She nods, and we make our way ban to her car. As we do, I hear Cassie turn on her loud music again. I sigh as I get into the car.

"Give her a break. She just got dumped randomly a few weeks ago. Let her go through it," Billie says.

"You wouldn't be saying that if you were living with it every day. Everything is about him, and I can't take it anymore," she laughs. "It's not funny,"

"It's a little funny," she says.

We finally met everybody at the restaurant. Everybody is already sat. Everyone being Finneas, Claudia, Zoe, Odessa, and Quen. Billie grabbed another chair to put at the table for me. Everyone said hi to me as Billie introduced me to the people I haven't met yet. I awkwardly smile at everyone. I hate it when people are looking at me. I guess Billie noticed that I was nervous because she grabbed my hand under the table. I looked at her. She just smiled and started talking to Zoe and Odessa.

For most of the dinner, I was quiet. I only talked when someone talked to me. Which was usually Billie or Claudia.

"So, who is paying for all of this?" The waitress asks everybody with a smile on her face. I look her up and down. She's gorgeous.

"We're all paying separately," Finneas says.

"Except for this one," Billie says, pointing to me. "I'm paying for her,"

"What?" I whisper to her. "You don't have to do that,"

"I know, but I want to," she says. "Don't argue with me," I nod.

"Alright, I'll be right back with those bills," she says and walks away. I watch as she walks away.

"Y/n?" I hear Finneas say, and I look at him.

"Huh? What?" I ask. He laughs.

"You okay? You seem out of it," I nod.

"No, I'm fine," I tell him.

A few minutes later, the waitress comes back, and everyone hands her their cards, and she walks away again. I rest my head in my hands and sigh.

"You okay?" Billie whispers to me, putting a hand on my thigh. I nod. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah, I'm just exhausted,"

"Well, I can take you home after this if that's what you want," I shake my head this time.

"I won't sleep. Cassie has her music on so loud all night. It makes it so hard to sleep," I explain. She laughs.

"You can always stay at mine. I have a couple of spare bedrooms that you're always welcome to use," I finally look at her.

"That would be so great, actually," she smiles.

"Okay, then we'll do that," she says.

After about ten minutes, the waitress comes back and gives everybody their cards back, and we all leave.

"Does anybody want to hang out tonight?" Odessa asks.

"I can," Quen says, and Zoe agrees.

"I'm sure we could," Finneas says, speaking for him and Claudia. Billie looks at me.

"We don't have to. I know you're tired. We can just go back to mine," I nod. She looks at everyone. "I think we're just gonna go back to my place. Maybe another time," she tells them and gets into the car. I look over at Claudia, who has a big smile on her face. What's that about?
