I'm sitting in Finneas' studio and just listening while he's messing with some things on the song. I keep zoning out and thinking about what happened between me and Y/n. I mean, we hooked up and then went to dinner. We haven't talked about it since. We've hung out many times but not once have we talked about it. And not only that, I just came from her house. I stayed the night and we fucked all night, too. But after every time she just gets up, waits for me to get dressed, and then offers to take us to breakfast or makes us food. It's like she's avoiding the topic of what's happening all together. We've hooked up every single time we hangout for the last two weeks.

Don't get me wrong, I love the sex. It's the best I've ever had. It's just a little weird and it makes me feel kind of used. I know she probably doesn't mean it that way. I should definitely talk to her about it I just don't know what to say. I don't want to make her feel bad for how I feel when I know she doesn't mean it that way. Maybe she does mean it that way. No, there's no way.

"Billie?" I finally snap out of it and look at Finneas. "You okay? You've been out of it all day," I nod.

"Yeah, I just have a lot on my mind. I'm sorry,"

"Anything you want to talk about?" I shake my head. "Okay," My phone buzzes and I look at it. It's Y/n.

Y/n: Wanna come over and have dinner at my place? It's just me, my brother, and Violet here

Me: Sure, I can head that way here after a bit

Y/n: Great, I'll see you soon

"You got somewhere you need to be?" Finneas asks me. I smile.

"Y/n's," he nods.

"Well, I think we're done here so you can get going," he says. I quickly get up and leave his house. I make my way over to Y/n's. When I get there I knock on the door. The door opens and it's Y/n.

"You know, you can just walk in, right? You don't have to knock," she tells me. I smile.

"I don't just want to walk in. That's weird to me," I tell her. She rolls her eyes.

"Anyway, I don't think you've met my brother. Billie, this is Nick. Nick, this is Billie," he turns to look at me. He washes his hands and then comes over and holds his hand out. I grab it and shake his hand.

"A pleasure to meet you," he says.

"You, too," I say.

"And what is your relationship to my sister," he asks. My mouth opens but I don't know what to say. What even are we? Friends with Benefits? Fuck buddies?

"She's my friend, Nick. Not every woman I interact with I date," Y/n says. He laughs.

"Of course not. That was only how you were two years ago," he says. She rolls her eyes.

"Ignore him," she tells me. She walks over to Violet who is leaning against the counter. "And this is Violet," I give her a weird look since I've never met her before. "I work with her,"

"Oh, yeah. You've talked about her before," I say.

"Awe, you talk about me? How cute," Violet says, looking at Y/n. I can't help but feel a sting of jealousy run through me. I gotta calm down. We're not even together. We've only just fucked a few times.

"First you flirt with my brother and now you flirt with me? You're really trying to get both of us," Y/n jokes. "You'll have a better chance with him than you would with me by the way," I smile as she says that. I know she's only saying that because she's not a relationship person. Not because me and her are hooking up. I know that's the last thing she is worried about.

"Alright you guys, dinner is done. And don't worry Billie, Y/n told me you were vegan. Everything I made today is vegan," I smile at him and look at Y/n who is already looking at me.

We all eat and have small conversations. Y/n and I both give each other looks at we notice that Violet is hardcore flirting with Nick. He flirts back occasionally. I wonder if he's just trying to be nice. I'm just glad that she's not flirting with Y/n anymore. I really need to stop being so jealous. There's really no point.

Once we finish eating we all start cleaning up and putting everything away. We sit and talk a little while longer when Violet says she should get going. She gets up and starts collecting all of her things.

"I can walk you out," Nick says, getting up and walking over to her. Y/n and I give each other a look when he says that. "I was thinking about leaving anyway," Violet nods and they both say their goodbyes and leave.

"Damn, that was really hard to watch," Y/n says. I nod in agreement.

"Their flirting was definitely something," I say and we both burst out laughing.

"It was cute but I felt so much secondhand embarrassment just watching them," she says. "Although, I'm not really surprised. My brother has only ever been in two relationships his entire life so he doesn't exactly know how to flirt. And Violet is a shy and quiet girl. She's awkward about pretty much everything,"

"Let's just hope for the best for them," I tell her.

"I think they'd make a cute couple," it goes quiet. The only noise is the sound of the TV. I look down at my hands. Should I say something? Should I ask? I want to but I don't want to be disappointed by the answer. I sigh.

"Y/n?" I say as she gets up from the couch.

"Yeah?" I get up and follow her.

"There's something I wanted to talk to you about," I tell her.

"What's up?" I bite my lip a little, trying to figure out what to say. "You okay?" She walks closer to me and grabs my hand. God, she makes it so hard to think straight. I look at her. She's got a concerned look in her eyes. I look at her lips and before I know it I'm kissing her instead. She doesn't complain or hesitate to kiss me back. She pulls away and pulls me to her bedroom. She takes her shirt off and I do the same. This is not how I expected or wanted this night to go. I guess I should've expected it.
