"What in the world are you doing right now?" I ask Billie as I walk into the kitchen.

"I am making food," she says with a smile on her face.

"I see that but you're also making a mess," I say, looking at all the dishes around the kitchen.

"I know, but I am gonna clean it. I know how much you hate your place being dirty," I smile.

"Would you like any help?" I ask her.

"Not with the cooking but if you want you can start doing dishes," I laugh and nod and then start doing the dishes. Just as I wash one, she grabs it, dries it, and uses it again.

"Is this why you wanted me to do dishes? So you can use every single one again and make me wash them again," she looks back at me.

"No, I just needed that one," I nod and continue cleaning the dishes.

"So, I had a thought," I told her.

"Mhm, and what's that?"

"What if we got a new place?"

"What do you mean?"

"Like what if we moved into a house that we bought together? Not just one that someone already lived in prior to our relationship. I know we just got all your stuff here a few months ago, but I really like the idea," she sighs. "If you don't want to that's okay. I'd understand if you didn't want to pack up everything again,"

"No, it's not that. I don't care about that. I'm just thinking about trying to find a new place that we'll both like. And the fact that this is your parent's house. You just want to move out of it?" I laugh a little.

"My parents moved here after my brother and I moved out of our childhood home. This house doesn't have much memory to it. And I can always ask my brother if he and Vi will want to live here. It would be better than a one-bedroom apartment. Especially when they now have a kid on the way," I tell her. She nods.

"Well, I think it's a good idea, to be honest. I mean, yeah, I did just move in here like six months ago but I think it would be fun," she says. I smile.

"You mean it?"

"Yes, I mean it,"

"Okay, once we start looking for a new place I'll ask Nick,"

-

"How about this one? It's not too big or too small. It's a two bedroom, three bath, it's a decent size for just the two of us," I ask Billie, showing her pictures.

"And Shark," she adds. I smile and nod.

"And Shark," I repeat. She just sits there and stares. "Do you not like it?"

"No, I do,"

"Then what is it," she shrugs.

"I don't know," she mumbles. "I'm just tired of looking at houses," I smile.

"You've said no to everything for weeks," she rolls her eyes.

"I'm picky,"

"I've noticed," she laughs.

"Let's go look at this house. I really like that one," I nod and go to find the contact information.

-

"I'll leave you guys be to talk things over," the realtor says and leaves. I look at Billie.

"So, what do you think?" I ask her.

"I like it. It's bigger than what it looked like in the pictures,"

"I noticed that, too. But it's not too big when it's just us and Shark so," she nods. "Do you want to think about it some?" She shakes her head.

"No, I want this one. Do you?" I smile.

"Let me call Nick," a smile appears on her face. I pull my phone out and take a few steps away from her.

"Hello?" Nick says.

"Hey, Nick, I got a question for you,"

"What's up?"

"How would you feel about moving into Mom and Dad's house?"

"Why would I do that? You live there,"

"Not for much longer. Billie and I decided to get a house of our own. So if you want it, it's all yours," it's quiet for a second. I hear whispering on his end. He's probably talking to Violet about it.

"When are you moving out?"

"Should be out within the next two weeks," I tell him.

"I'll start packing," he says and hangs up. I walk back over to Billie.

"What did he say?" She asks.

"They said they'll move into our parent's house. I figured he would," I told her. Just then the realtor came back.

"So, do you guys like the house? Have any idea what you're gonna do?" I nod.

"We'll take it," Billie says, smiling.

"Great. I'll get everything started for you guys,"

-

We're asking anybody we can to help us move our stuff into the new house. They all said yes if they were able to. The lady said that we should be able to move in within the next few days so we decided to start packing today.

"Hopefully we can move in soon. I really don't want to be living with a whole bunch of boxes around," Billie says.

"You're gonna have to do it anyway when we move in. We definitely won't be able to unpack everything the first day," she sighs.

"Don't say that," she said.

"It's true," I tell her. I look at my phone. "I gotta go soon,"

"Oh, yeah, work," she says, disappointedly.

"Well, I don't know what you want me to do. You've been working a lot recently, too," I remind her. I grab my work clothes and change into them. When I look at Billie, she's got a look in her eyes and a smile on her face. "Do not look at me like that,"

"Like what?" She asks.

"Don't do that. The last time we did something before I went to work I was late. It's happened multiple times. It can not happen again," I tell her.

"Why not?"

"Because I'm gonna start getting in trouble for it if I'm late anymore," she sighs.

"But that is so much more fun than going to work," she says. I nod in agreement.

"True, but no. Now I'm gonna go. I'll see you later," I say, walking over to her and giving her a quick kiss. "I Love You,"

"I love you, too."
