"I can't believe that you managed to get on a flight to LA and then another one back here within three days. What did you ever go to LA for?" Finneas asks. He and Claudia are sitting in my hotel room with me.
"I went to talk to someone," I tell him.
"You couldn't have just called them? Di you really have to get on a plane and talk to them in person. Who was so important that you had to fly to LA to talk to them in person?" He asks. I smile a little.
"It's fucking Y/n, isn't it?" Claudia asks, sitting up to look at me.
"Maybe," I say.
"It fucking was! You guys are talking again? When did that happen?" She asks, with a smile on her face.
"I made the last-minute decision to talk to her but I didn't want to call her. I wanted to talk in person. So I got on the first flight there that I could get," I tell them. "We finally talked things out and we're going to start over and hopefully things go right this time."
"Oh, my God! Finally!" Claudia says.
"She's not going to do anything stupid again and I'm not gonna need to hold you while you're crying again?" Finneas asks. I sigh.
"No, she said she's not gonna do anything stupid this time and I trust her," I tell him. He nods.
"Okay, but if she hurts you again I'm gonna kill her," I roll my eyes.
"Dramatic," I mumble.

I absolutely hate not being able to see Y/n in person. Although I know it's a good thing. I have a feeling that if were together we wouldn't be able to keep our hands off each other. That's how we were before and this time there was a six-month time frame where we didn't even talk.
It's been three months since we started talking again and everything is going great. I'm really happy and I'm really starting to trust her again. She's been doing everything in her power to help me trust her again. I think she's scared that she might accidentally do something that would hurt me and not know. It's cute watching her concerned face and listening to her ask if I'm mad at her. Although, I do feel bad though. I hate that she thinks she needs to be careful like that. It's more like I trust her but she doesn't trust herself for some reason. I've talked to her about it and she said that she's just not sure what to do or what to say because she hasn't exactly talked to someone like this in a long time. She doesn't exactly know how an actual relationship works. Although we're not dating yet I hope we are soon.
I heard my phone start ringing.
"Can someone tell me who that is?" I say because my phone is out of reach for me and I can't move because Claudia is doing my hair.
"It's Y/n," my mom says. I smile and hold my hand out for her to give me my phone and she does. I answer the Facetime.
"Hi," I say with a big smile on my face.
"Hi, baby. What are you doing?"
"I'm getting ready to go on stage," I tell her. "How about you?"
"Just got home from work,"
"Wait, isn't morning there? I thought you worked nights,"
"They needed help this morning. I wasn't even supposed to work today," I can she's exhausted.
"Are you gonna get some rest then?" I ask her.
"Yeah, I will a little bit, but there's something I wanted to ask you but I'll wait until later because I know that you're getting ready to go on stage," she says. Claudia gives me a look in the mirror and I roll my eyes.
"Is it okay if I call you when I get back to the hotel later?" I ask her. She nods.
"Yeah, hopefully, I'll be awake," she laughs. We ended the call and Finneas and I got on stage and did what we do best.
-
"So what was it you wanted to ask me?" I ask Y/n as soon as she answers the call.
"Damn, you gave me no time to wake up before asking that question," she says. Her voice is raspy from her just waking up. I find it really hot.
"You said you had something to ask me. I told you I would call you. You said you'd try to be awake. Not my fault you weren't," I tell her. She laughs tiredly.
"God, I hate you so much,"
"No, you don't. If you hated me you wouldn't be talking to me right now and trying to get me to trust you again," I say and nods.
"I also wouldn't be asking if you'd be my girlfriend if I hated you either," she says.
"Exactly," I say before realizing what she said. "What did you just say?" She has a smile on her face. "Say it again. What'd you just say?" I ask again.
"I said, will you be my girlfriend?"
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah, unless you don't want me to be," she says. "I want you to be my girlfriend. I feel like we've been talking long enough and I think I'm ready. However, if you're not or if you don't know yet, that's fine. Just say that and we can wait a while longer. Or if you don't want this anymore, that's fine, too,"
"Will you shut up?" I ask her. "Yes, I'll be your girlfriend. I've been waiting for you to ask," I joke and we both laugh.
"I was so scared you were going to say no," she says.
"I would never say no," I tell her. I watch as her smile slowly fades. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing's wrong. I'm just thinking about how I've hurt you before and I really don't want to do it again. And I haven't been in an actual relationship in years so I really don't know what I'm doing and I'm scared I'm gonna mess something up," She admits.
"You won't mess anything up as long as you're not worried about it. Just do what you think is right and I'll tell you yes or no," I tell her.
We spent the next few hours talking until she told me that I needed to get some sleep which I argued with for a while. Mostly because I didn't want to stop talking to her but eventually I agreed and went to sleep.
