"The tour is gonna be starting soon. Are you ready for that?" Claudia asks me. I shrug.

"Yes and no. But it's not really soon. It starts in like six months,"

"Those months are going to go by faster than you think,"

"I know. I just don't want it to get in the way of anything,"

"You mean your friendship with Y/n?" I give her a weird look.

"Why do you say it like that?" Now she shrugs.

"I don't know. You tell me,"

"There is nothing to tell,"

"So, are you going to tell me that you two going off to a field in the middle of the night means nothing?"

"How do you know about that?"

"You sharing your location with me means nothing to you?"

"Are you stalking me?"

"When I get a notification saying that you left your house in the middle of the night, I'm going to stalk you," she says. I roll my eyes.

"And how do you know I was with Y/n? I could've been with another boy toy of mine," she laughs.

"Because you would definitely go to the middle of nowhere with a man. Finneas told me you had plans, and we both know that has started to mean Y/n. So tell me, what were you doing?"

"I don't need to tell you anything,"

"No, you don't, but I would really like to know," I laugh.

"She was showing me something," she gave me a look.

"And what exactly was she showing you?"

"What are you implying?"

"What do you think I'm implying?"

"I don't know, that's why I'm asking you,"

"Mm, you are very private about your time with her,"

"If there was something happening between Y/n and I, you would know. But there isn't because I don't see her like that. Nor do I see any other woman like that," I tell her.

"I never said anything like that," she defends in a joking manner.

"But it's what you were implying, right?" I ask. She smiles and sighs.

"I'm messing with you. There's no reason to get so defensive. Although even if you did see Y/n or any other women like that, for that matter, I would support you no matter what. Besides, that is your business, and you may keep it to yourself for as long as you'd like. However, I wouldn't say I'd be surprised if that is something you'd be keeping to yourself,"

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing," she mumbles. "Anyway, let's talk about something else," I nod. Finally, I hate this conversation.

This isn't the first time we've had this conversation. She seems to think that she knows everything about me for some reason. Or she can get information out of me if she gets as close to it as possible without actually saying it. Don't get me wrong, I love her. She's a great friend, but sometimes I just wanna strangle her a little bit. She can drive me insane I don't know how Finneas deals with it.

My phone buzzes, and I grab it. I smile a little when I see Y/n on my screen.

Y/n: Do you wanna come over? I would say we could go do something, but I can't exactly leave my house.

Billie: Yeah, I can come over, but why not?

Y/n: I'll explain it when you get here

Billie: Okay, I'll head that way soon

"I gotta get around," I tell Claudia and start walking to my room.

"Around to go where?"

"Y/n's,"

"Again? Weren't you just over there?"

"A few days ago. What does it matter?" I ask her as she follows me to my room.

"It doesn't matter,"

"Then why are you questioning it," she sighs.

"I'm gonna go then. You know you keep canceling our plans to hang out with Y/n,"

"I'm sorry. We're becoming friends, and she's rarely ever got time to hang out, and when she asks, I'm gonna say yes," I tell her.

"I get that, but we always have plans that get canceled just for you to go to her house or something,"

"I'm sorry. I'll make it up to you. But you and I have all the time in the world to hang out. But I promise I'll make it up to you. How about this weekend? I don't have plans, and if Y/n asks, I'll tell her I have plans, okay?"

"Alright, I didn't care that much. I just started thinking you didn't want to hang out with me anymore. Or that you're replacing me," she laughs. I roll my eyes.

"I would never," I say in a sarcastic tone. "Oh, you can just come with me,"

"Would she be okay with that?"

"I can ask, but I'm sure she'll be okay with it. Besides, you guys should get to know each other if she's going to be friends with me," she nods, and I text Y/n.

Me: Is it okay if I bring Claudia with me?

Y/n: Yeah, that's fine

We leave my house and drive to Y/n's house. It's like a fifteen-minute drive. When we finally get there, Y/n is outside waiting for us. I smile and go over to hug her. She hugs me back with a smile on her face.

"I know you guys have met before, but Y/n, this is Claudia. Claudia, this is Y/n,"

"I kind of remember you from the Christmas party. I don't really remember much of that night," Y/n says.

"Yeah, 'cause you were drunk off your ass,' I mumble.

"You want me to go to a party and not drink? I'm just trying to have a good time," I laugh. She opens her door and we walk inside. "Sorry about the mess. Cassie's been staying with me,"

"It looks more like she's moving in with you," Claudia says.

"Well, her boyfriend randomly left their apartment and blocked her while she was at work one night and she doesn't want to be there anymore so she's slowly moving out so she can find a new place," Y/n explains.

"Too many memories there or something?"

"I guess. I really don't know. I never really heard much about their relationship. Last I heard, they were doing good, but I honestly don't know,"

"Where is she now?" I ask.

"She should be getting home from work soon, though," she said. I nod.

"So, why did you ask me to come over?"

"I just really wanted someone to hang out with, and to talk to that wasn't Cassie. Don't get me wrong, I love Cassie, but oh my God, I can't take another second of hearing her cry her ex-boyfriend," she said and sat on the couch. I laugh and walk over to sit next to her.

"I'm sure you'll be alright. Give her the benefit of the doubt. They just broke up she's gonna be hurt for a little while," I tell her.

"You sound like you speak from expirence,"

"No, not really, if I'm being honest," she laughs.

I don't know what it is about this girl, but every time I'm around her, I get so happy, and my heart starts beating really fast. I know I don't have a crush on her. We just met. Besides, we're only friends. And I know how she is, and I don't want to be in a relationship that's one-sided again.
