Chapter 23

Isabella says, "hey Aiden, I was about to text you to see if you were free." Aiden says, "well it's a good thing that I was already waiting for you here." Isabella asks, "do you want to go somewhere to talk?." Aiden says, "of course." Isabella takes his hand saying, "let's go." As they head into the park Isabella saw Aiden looked a little worried saying, "hold on, I want to give you your birthday gift first." Isabella says, "but my birthday has already passed." Aiden says, "I know, but I wanted to give it to you when we were alone." He hands her a golden-wrapped gift as she opens it surprised saying, "Addie, this is my favourite book, how did you get a first edition copy?." Aiden replies, "when I first moved to Toronto, I stared exploring the city, then I found a bookstore located downtown... by chance, I found the book, but I was hesitant to buy it because- I did not know if I would ever see you again." Isabella says, "I don't know what to say except that- having you in my life is the best birthday present that I could ever ask for." Isabella hugs him as Aiden strokes her hair lovingly as she says, "Addie, I want to be more than friends." Aiden was surprised asking, "you do?!." Isabella nods as he replies, "so do I." Aiden caresses Isabella's face softly saying, "you've always had my heart and now I have yours, Isa." 

They soon share a kiss as they both felt their hearts beating fast. Isabella thought, 'I've always imagined this moment in my head, and it is perfect, I think deep down I always knew I could fall in love with Aiden.' Aiden says, "that was perfect, Isa." Isabella asks, "can I read my book to you?." Aiden nods as she with a playful smile and tone, "follow me, loverboy." As Isabella sits under the tree and opens the book, Aiden lays his head on her lap as she begins to read, "years had passed since they last met, time had changed but deep down they knew that their feelings for each other didn't fade, because when you love someone deeply time and distance did not matter, the only thing that mattered was how much their love for each was". Aiden thinks, 'when I look at Isabella, all I can see is eternal beauty, her voice is soft and takes me to a world where it's only the two of us, she's the only one I have ever loved... I wish to spend ever memory and moment with her... because it was always her I was meant to fall in love with.' When two souls intertwine the way Isabella and Aiden have, nothing could keep them apart and in the end they would always find their way back to each other. A few months passed by as Aiden could not stop thinking about Isabella as he decided to spend some time with his sister at her studio; Jennifer was in the middle of her artwork as she asked, "so what do you think, Aiden?." Aiden was smiling and lost in the clouds as Jennifer says, "earth to Aiden? Aiden! AIDEN!." 

Aiden suddenly snapped out of his thought saying, "sorry, what were you saying, Jen?." Jennifer asks, "are you daydreaming about Isabella?." Aiden replies, "I can't help it, I love her so much." Jennifer says, "aw, my little brother is lovesick, I knew it would happen." Aiden asks, "how?." Jennifer replies, "ever since you were kids, I saw how you were with each other, the two of you were inseparable and still are, I am so happy that you are both finally together." Aiden says, "thanks sis, so what were you saying earlier?." Jennifer answers, "well I ned you to distract Nathan on his day off, he enjoys spending time with his video games, but he can't be home that day, I am going to buy his engagement ring and I need to hide it somewhere at home." Aiden asks, "can't you just hide it here in the studio?." Jennifer looked stunned answering, "excuse me, have you seen this place? It's a mess and the last thing I need is to put it somewhere and can't find it." Aiden chuckles saying, "fair enough." Jennifer says, "thanks for your help, I need to finish this other painting so I will be able to buy the ring." Aiden says, "have fun, sis." Meanwhile at the café Cameron, Hailey and Isabella were enjoying milkshakes as Cameron asks, "what are you plans now that that summer is here?." Hailey asked, "are you planning on going back home to visit your mom?." Isabella answered, "I have no clue, I've still not heard back from the internship I applied for." Cameron says, "I am sure you will hear from them soon." Hailey asked, "have you told Aiden about the internship, girl?."
