--Jeon's Mansion--

--Store Room--

"Now tell me, YN," Jungkook began softly, the weight of his words punctuating the quiet of the storeroom. He took a step forward and asked, "Will you be my daughter's mother?"

The question hung in the air, the gravity of it palpable between them.

Jungkook waited, his gaze fixed on YN, silently pleading for her response, hoping that she would understand the depth of his request. He knew it was a lot to ask, to step into the role Angelina had abandoned, but he couldn't deny the growing bond between YN and Eva, nor the longing in his own heart for a stable and loving family for his daughter.

YN opened her mouth to say something but was cut off by her phone ringing. She took out her phone and received the call.

--On Call--

YN:

Yes, Namjoon Oppa?

Namjoon:

Come to Ever Shine
City immediately.

YN:

Why? What happened?

Namjoon:

Don't ask too many questions.
Just come here immediately.

YN:

Okay! I will be there
in a few minutes.

--Call Ends--

YN glanced at Jungkook, her expression filled with concern, as she firmly stated, "I have to leave immediately. We'll talk tomorrow." She turned to walk away, but Jungkook stopped her by gently gripping her hand.

Confusion flashed across YN's face as she looked back at him. "What is it?"

"YN, please don't let our past affect my daughter's happiness. Now my daughter's happiness is in your hands," Jungkook said earnestly, releasing her hand. "Let's meet tomorrow at the same cafe around 7 PM."

YN nodded silently, her thoughts swirling as she exited the storeroom and began making her way towards Ever shine City.

--Block No 9--

"This woman said she saw Wilson here a few days ago." Namjoon said, pointing at the shop owner.

YN's brow furrowed as she processed the information. "But how is that possible? Ronil mentioned Wilson left Seoul after the case was closed."

The elderly woman spoke softly, "Yes, he did leave Seoul, but I saw him here this morning. I found out he's staying in Seoul for a few days. He's at his apartment; he should be home by now."

YN glanced at the building in front of her. "Namjoon Oppa, let's go and interrogate him."

"No, YN, not now," Namjoon rejected YN's idea of interrogating Wilson.

YN looked at Namjoon, perplexed. "But why?"

Namjoon sighed. "YN, our transfer procedure isn't completed yet. So we can't interrogate him without a warrant. Be patient. Until our transfer procedure gets completed my men will keep watch on him, and we'll gather all the information we need to find Lilly."

YN took a deep breath and nodded in agreement.

--Next Day--

--Cafe--

"So what's your answer?" Jungkook asks nervously, his heart pounding with anticipation. Although he has asked YN for her response, deep down, he's determined not to accept a 'no' from her.

"Anyway, I am not interested in getting married or falling in love with anyone. Instead, I'd rather be Eva's mother. If you can do so much for her as her non-biological father, why can't I do the same?" YN asks and takes a deep breath, gathering her thoughts before declaring, "Fine! I'm ready to be Eva's mother." Her words are firm, reflecting her resolve to take on the role despite any uncertainties.

Jungkook felt sad after hearing that YN wasn't interested in falling in love again, but deep down, he felt a surge of happiness when his high school crush agreed to marry him. However, he chose not to reveal his joy upon hearing her answer. Instead, he spoke in a cold tone while staring at YN, "After we marry, you'll simply be my daughter's mother. Don't try to be my wife." Despite his outward demeanor, Jungkook's heart was secretly elated that she had accepted his proposal.

YN looks at Jungkook and says, "And to me, you will be just Eva's father. So, you too never try to be my husband. Did you get it?" She lifted her eyebrow. "Anyway you aren't my type." She murmured, but Jungkook heard her.

Jungkook scoffs and whispers to himself, "Was I ever your type? If only you knew how much I love you"

YN frowns and asks, "What? Did you say something?"

"Nothing! If you want, I can come to your house and talk to Yoongi Hyung about us," Jungkook said, resting his hands on the table.

"No need! I will talk to Yoongi Oppa myself," YN replied as she rose from her seat. "I think we're done talking. I'll take my leave now."

Jungkook also stood up, and said, "YN, come to my house tomorrow."

YN looked at Jungkook, puzzled. "Why?"

"Tomorrow is Eva's birthday. Don't get me wrong, but Eva asked for a mother as her birthday gift, so..." Jungkook's voice trailed off.

"Eva really needs to learn many things. The way she coerced her father into doing what she wants, I can easily tell that you don't spend enough time with her to teach her proper values," YN said sternly. "But I can't entirely blame you or her. The situation you both are in could explain her behavior."

Jungkook sighed heavily and lowered his head.

"Fine!" YN exclaimed. "I will come to your place to celebrate Eva's birthday."

Jungkook smiled gratefully. "Thank you," He said softly. YN nodded in acknowledgment before turning around to leave.

As YN walked away, Jungkook took a deep breath, his mind swirling with mixed emotions. "Eva, you don't know what you've done unknowingly." He whispered to himself, a small, heartfelt smile tugging at his lips. "You've made me do something I couldn't do 12 years ago."
