--One Month Later--

--Jeon's Mansion--

Jungkook stepped into the mansion, the familiar, comforting silence of the house greeting him. He had just dropped Mia off at her friend's house, and then, after a quick trip to the resort to drop off Yoongi, Lily, and Eva, he finally had the entire day to himself. It felt like a rare moment of freedom, and Jungkook wasn't about to waste it. He knew YN was at home, since she didn't have to go to the police station today-her shift was at night. That meant she was likely in the house, relaxing or tending to whatever she needed to do. His heart quickened at the thought of seeing her.

After a quick glance through the house, he found himself in the hallway, a quiet excitement building as he passed rooms, looking for her. It didn't take long before he heard the faint sound of movement from the kitchen. His smile grew wider as he picked up his pace, moving toward the sound of her presence.

When he finally entered the kitchen, he saw her standing by the counter, her back to him as she prepared something. For a moment, Jungkook just stood there, admiring the sight of her. Her hair was loosely tied back, and she seemed completely absorbed in what she was doing, unaware of his presence.

His smile softened, and before she could turn around, he moved swiftly toward her. Without warning, he scooped her up into his arms, lifting her effortlessly as if she weighed nothing at all. The suddenness of it caught her off guard, and YN let out a surprised laugh, her hands instinctively resting on his shoulders for balance.

"Jungkook!" She exclaimed, her eyes widening in surprise. "What are you doing here? I thought you were out with-"

"Surprise!" He interrupted, his grin never fading. He twirled her around in his arms, feeling the warmth of her body pressed against his, savoring the moment. "Took the day off to spend some time with my wife."

YN's expression softened, a mix of affection and amusement dancing across her face as she wrapped her arms around him, leaning her head against his chest. "You really do spoil me, don't you?"

Jungkook chuckled, his heart full. "I can't help it. You're too cute for me to resist."

He held her for a few more moments, savoring the quiet, tender connection they shared. He has been busy lately, juggling work and the responsibilities , but this-right here-was what mattered most to him. Spending this time with YN was everything.

Finally, he set her down gently, but he kept his arms around her, not quite ready to let go. "What were you making, by the way? Need any help?" He asked, his voice soft and playful.

YN just shook her head, a smile tugging at her lips. "You didn't even tell me you were taking the day off," She teased, her voice a mixture of amusement and warmth. "I would've made you lunch or something."

Jungkook chuckled, brushing a stray lock of hair from her face as he shifted his hold on her. "I didn't want to spoil the surprise. Besides, who needs lunch when I get to hold you like this?"

YN smiled, her heart fluttering as she realized just how much he valued these little moments. "You're impossible," She muttered, but there was no real annoyance in her tone. Instead, she leaned into him more, letting herself enjoy the rare, peaceful moment with him.

Jungkook took a deep breath, savoring the warmth of her presence. "I just wanted to be with you," He confessed softly. "And I wanted to steal you away before the night shift steals you from me."

YN's smile deepened as she looked up at him, her eyes shining with affection. The way he held her, as though she were the most precious thing in the world, made her heart swell. It wasn't often that they had time like this-just the two of them, with no responsibilities or distractions to pull them away from each other.
