"Is this how a police officer solves a case?" YN asked, her voice firm and authoritative.
Everyone looked at YN as she approached them. "May I know who you are?" The officer in charge asked judging YN.
YN takes out her identity card and shows to the officer. Knowing YN's identity all the three officers saluted her and then bows slightly.
Seeing this Angelina and Mia frowned in confusion.
The officer in charge face YN, slightly taken aback. "Ma'am we're trying to ensure the best outcome for the child involved here."
YN stepped forward, her expression serious. "This isn't just a matter of legal rights; it's about what's best for Eva. Jungkook may be protective, but he has her best interests at heart. Instead of dismissing him, perhaps you should listen."
The officer regarded YN with a mixture of respect and skepticism. "I understand your concern, but we have to follow the law. Both parents have rights, and we need to mediate this situation."
Jungkook crossed his arms, clearly frustrated. "I'm not going to let her waltz back into Eva's life."
YN looked at Jungkook, her expression serious. "Jungkook, do you trust me?" She asked unexpectedly.
Jungkook blinked in confusion but nodded slowly. "Huh? Yeah, I trust you."
"Then don't worry. I won't let this woman take Eva away from you," YN assured him, her voice steady. She turned to face Angelina, her demeanor shifting to one of authority. "Let's head to the police station."
She then glanced back at Jungkook. "Please bring the divorce papers and the letter Angelina wrote two years ago. We'll need those documents to clarify everything."
Jungkook nodded, still grappling with the situation but feeling a glimmer of hope. "Okay, I'll get them."
As he turned to leave, YN shot a determined look at Angelina. "This isn't just about your rights as a mother; it's about Eva's well-being. We're going to make sure she's protected."
Angelina crossed her arms defensively but remained silent.
Once Jungkook retrieved the documents, he rejoined YN, who was already speaking with the officer. "We need to ensure that Eva's interests are prioritized in this whole mess," YN emphasized.
The officer nodded, acknowledging their urgency. "Let's get to the station and sort this out."
With that, all of them except Mia headed toward the police station.
--Police Station--
YN had already called Namjoon, and he, along with the lawyer, was waiting for them to arrive. Thanks to Namjoon, YN learned that Angelina was planning to snatch Eva from Jungkook with the help of the police.
On the day YN took Lily home from the police station, Namjoon had completed all the necessary paperwork and was about to head back to his own station when he overheard Angelina's conversation with another officer.

After five minutes of waiting, Namjoon spotted YN, Jungkook, Angelina, and three other officers approaching the station.

After reviewing all the evidence provided by Jungkook, the officer in charge turned to Angelina and sighed. "Miss Angelina, this letter clearly indicates that, you handed over responsibility for Eva to Mr. Jeon."
The lawyer accompanying Namjoon added, "Even if you pursue custody in court, the judge is unlikely to rule in your favor due to your history of irresponsible behavior." He then glanced at Namjoon and YN before continuing, "However, as a mother, Miss Angelina should have the right to visit her daughter whenever she wishes. You cannot prevent her from doing so."
Jungkook exchanged a worried glance with YN before addressing the lawyer. "But what if she uses this opportunity to try to take my daughter away from me?" His voice was laced with concern, reflecting the anxiety that weighed heavily on his mind.
The lawyer turned to Angelina and said, "Miss Angelina, you are only permitted to meet Eva in Mr. Jeon's presence." His tone was firm, emphasizing the gravity of the situation.
Infuriated, Angelina slammed her hands on the desk and glared at everyone in the room. "I refuse to accept this! Eva is not even his daughter. So why do I have to meet my daughter only when he's here? This is completely unfair!"
YN couldn't hold back any longer and replied with a mocking tone, "Why did you leave Jungkook and Eva in the first place? Don't you think that was unfair too?" Her words cut through the tension in the room, challenging Angelina to confront her own past decisions.
Angelina gritted her teeth as she glared at the officer in charge. "You can't be of any help," She said angrily before storming out of the cabin.
Jungkook let out a heavy sigh, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on him. He rubbed his temples, trying to ease the tension building in his head.

At Night
--Study Room--
Jungkook sat at his desk and opened the bottle of alcohol, the sharp scent filling the air as he poured a glass.
The events of the day at the police station weighed heavily on his mind, leaving him anxious and unsettled. To drown out his worries, he decided to drink. He had hidden the bottle in the study so Eva wouldn't discover it. After the last incident, he had sworn off drinking in public places.
As he sipped his drink, his thoughts spiraled back to Angelina and her relentless pursuit of Eva. The idea of her snatching Eva away from him gnawed at his insides. With each sip, the room began to sway, and he found himself nearing intoxication, desperately trying to escape the chaos swirling in his mind.

YN arrived home and headed straight for the bedroom. As she entered, she was met with silence. The room felt empty, and she assumed Jungkook hadn't returned yet. Just as she was about to close the door, she heard a thud from downstairs.
She paused, listening intently as the sound echoed through the quiet mansion. After a moment's thought and a deep breath, YN stepped out of the room and made her way cautiously downstairs.
As she descended the staircase, she heard strange noises coming from the kitchen. Heart racing, YN reached for her gun, carefully pulling it from its holster. With a steadying breath, she approached the kitchen door, peering inside.
Her heart dropped at the sight before her: Jungkook lay on the ground, his body still and vulnerable. "Jungkook!" She whispered, her voice barely above a shout. Adrenaline surged through her as she made her way to his figure.
