--Jeon's Mansion--
--Living Room--
Yeonjun nervously bit his nails as he glanced at Taehyung. "Hyung, you said you didn't want to pursue a married woman, right? So why are we here?"
Taehyung smirked, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "I'm not here to see my love, Yeonjun. I came to see Jungkook. I just want to tease him a little. It'll be fun."
Yeonjun let out a sigh of relief, feeling the tension in his shoulders dissipate as he turned toward the staircase. He spotted YN, Jungkook, and Mia making their way down.
As they reached the bottom of the stairs, Taehyung's face lit up with a playful grin as he walked toward YN. "Love, I'm here. As per our deal, now you have to..." He cast a mischievous glance at Jungkook, a smirk dancing on his lips before he continued, "kiss me."
Jungkook's expression darkened at Taehyung's words. He shot him a glare, the tension between them palpable. With a slight huff, Jungkook turned his focus back to YN, his eyes filled with anticipation. He was eager to see how she would respond to Taehyung's bold declaration.
YN stepped forward, her expression calm and measured. She locked eyes with Taehyung, a hint of amusement playing at the corners of her mouth. "Really, Taehyung? You think I would actually kiss you?" Her tone was teasing, yet there was an unmistakable confidence in her demeanor.
Taehyung's smirk widened, undeterred. "Come on, we've made a deal, haven't we? You can't back out now." He leaned in slightly, his playful demeanor challenging her.
Jungkook's irritation simmered beneath the surface as he watched the exchange unfold. He crossed his arms, feeling a mix of protectiveness and frustration. The dynamic between YN and Taehyung was both amusing and infuriating, and he couldn't shake the feeling that he needed to step in.
YN stepped closer to Taehyung, locking eyes with him. The intensity of the moment hung between them, and Taehyung felt a flicker of nervousness. He hesitated, then asked, "Are you really going to kiss me?"
With a playful smile, YN replied, "I know you very well, Taehyung. I know that you know I won't kiss you." Her words dripped with teasing confidence, making it clear that she was in control of the situation.
Taehyung smirked again, his confidence unshaken. "We may not be that close yet, but you claim to know me so well." He glanced at Jungkook, a spark of defiance in his eyes, before turning back to YN. "Just remember, if your husband ever mistreats you, my arms are always open to hold you. I won't give up that easily."
The tension in the air thickened, as Jungkook crossed his arms tighter, a mix of irritation and curiosity brewing within him. He couldn't help but feel the weight of Taehyung's words, each one a challenge that hung in the air between them.
YN chuckled lightly, amusement dancing in her eyes. "What a charming offer, Taehyung. But you know I'm perfectly capable of handling myself." She tilted her head slightly, matching his playful bravado. "Besides, I'm pretty sure my husband can handle his own mistakes."
"True," Taehyung replied, his voice smooth and teasing. "But wouldn't it be nice to know there's someone ready to catch you if you ever fall?"
Jungkook felt his irritation rise. "Are we really doing this?" He said, stepping forward. "This isn't some game to play with feelings. YN doesn't need anyone to rescue her."
Taehyung leaned back slightly, arms crossed, observing the two with a mix of amusement and intrigue. "You see, Jungkook, it's all in good fun. A little harmless flirting never hurt anyone, right?"
"Flirting? Is that what you call it?" Jungkook retorted, trying to keep his tone steady. "Because it feels a lot more like crossing boundaries to me."
YN stepped between them, sensing the brewing tension. "Okay, okay, let's take a step back. Taehyung, I appreciate the offer, but I'm not going to entertain this any further. It's just playful banter."
Taehyung nodded, turning his gaze toward Jungkook. "My eyes are on you," He said, a playful challenge in his tone.
Jungkook rolled his eyes in response, exasperated, and plopped down onto the couch, arms crossed. "You're ridiculous," He muttered.
Taehyung chuckled, then turned to YN with a warm smile. "Bye, love!"
YN smiled back and nodded her head.
Taehyung glanced at Yeonjun, signaling him to follow. After they left, YN returned to the bedroom to get ready for work. Meanwhile, Jungkook leaned back on the couch, sighing in relief. "Thank goodness she didn't kiss him." He thought, taking a deep breath to steady himself.
Just then, Angelina entered the mansion, a huge smirk plastered on her face. Jungkook's eyes landed on her, noting the confident expression she wore. "What are you doing here again?" He asked, his tone a mix of curiosity and annoyance.
Angelina folded her arms defiantly. "Jungkook, give my daughter back to me. Or else I'll have to snatch her from you."
"Eva needs a responsible person by her side," Jungkook replied firmly, his gaze unwavering. "I trust no one with her safety except myself. So, either leave, or else I-"
He was abruptly cut off as a police officer entered the mansion, followed by two other officers. "Or else what, Mr. Jeon?" The officer asked, his voice steady and authoritative.
Jungkook looked at the officers in confusion as he rose from the couch. "What's going on here?"
One of the officers stepped forward and asked, "Mr. Jeon, why are you keeping a mother from her daughter?"
Jungkook shot a glare at Angelina before responding, "Do you really think that bringing the police here will make me hand Eva over to you?"
The officer in charge took a step closer, maintaining his authoritative tone. "Mr. Jeon, I need you to answer the question. This isn't just a matter of personal dispute; it's about the well-being of a child."
Jungkook clenched his jaw, frustration boiling inside him. "Look, officer, I don't know what exactly this woman has told you, but she's a careless mother who left her daughter for her so-called dreams. I never told her to leave, nor did I stop her from pursuing anything."
The police officer raised a hand, gesturing for Jungkook to stop. "I'm not here to listen to your explanations. What I know is that as a mother, Miss Angelina has equal rights on her daughter."
Jungkook shook his head, disbelief etched across his face. "You don't understand. Eva is better off with me. I've been the one taking care of her. You don't know the whole story." He glanced at Angelina, then turned his gaze to the police officer. "I'm done talking. You can speak to my lawyer."
The officer in charge let out a short laugh. "Do you really think I have enough time to waste talking to your lawyer?"
At that moment, YN descended the stairs, her presence commanding attention. "Is this how a police officer solves a case?" She asked, her voice firm and authoritative.
