Anger or jealousy?

Actually, sir, there have been rumors that Khun Winnie and Master Rain are in a secret relationship," Yim said.

"Rumors," Phayu mumbled under his breath, picking up the photo that Yim passed him. In that photo, he could see Winnie holding Rain by his waist, and Rain smiling at him. "Someone from the campus has posted this photo with speculations that Khun Winnie and Master Rain are in a relationship," Yim said, passing the tablet to Phayu to see the posts.

"Keep it down and you go," Phayu said, his eyes still fixed on the photograph that was almost crumpled in his hands. He picked up the tablet and went through the posts. Some were saying Rain was not good for Winnie, while others said Rain looked perfect with Winnie and that Winnie seemed happier with Rain than usual. The more Phayu read, the more unfamiliar weight he was feeling in his chest. He turned the tablet off and almost slammed it on the table.

Meanwhile, Rain was laying on his bed, scrolling through his phone and seeing all the comments  about him. He couldn't understand why people were so interested in his life. The answer was simple: no one was interested in his life, but they were interested in Winnie's. Winnie was a rising star with a great fan following, loved by everyone just like his father, Wik. Rain sighed, looking at the hate he was getting.

"Why so much hate? If they have to say something, why can't it be nice things?" Rain muttered, putting his phone down and groaning in frustration.

"Why did you put your phone down when I came in?" Rain heard a cold voice from behind him. When he turned to look, a shiver ran down his spine. Phayu was standing just behind him, his eyes burning with anger, his face darker than night. Seeing Rain silent fueled something inside Phayu. Although he knew he didn't have the right to feel this way since they weren't lovers but were under contract, seeing that picture and the rumors made his chest feel heavy.

"Wouldn't you like to tell me something? Or are you trying to hide it?" Phayu asked Rain.

"Like what?" Rain asked, confused by Phayu's sudden behavior. Phayu had been fine when he left the room before the butler came, but now he looked like he was ready for a massacre.

"Anything, like any rumor. Or maybe not just a rumor this time," Phayu's voice was colder than before, his eyes narrowed, looking suspiciously at Rain.

When Rain heard that, his eyes widened in shock. He realized Phayu knew about the rumors. Of course, how would he not? Winnie was his cousin, and his assistant had probably come to inform him about this. Or maybe Phayu was misunderstanding him.

"It's nothing like what you're thinking, Phayu. I don't know where all this is coming from. If you think about it, you'll understand that nothing like that could happen. I've only known Winnie for a short time. We don't even know each other well. It's all just rumors," Rain said, moving closer to Phayu.

"Rumors?" Phayu cut Rain off. His eyes were a little calmer now.

Rain immediately nodded his head. He knew Phayu was not happy, just by the look on his face. And even if they left everything aside, how could Phayu be happy seeing his wife being rumored to be with his own cousin? Although the world didn't know, Phayu did. What would happen if it reached Phayu's family? Thinking about Phayu's family, Rain guessed that was why he was angry, thinking something could go wrong because of this.

"If you are worried about what your family will think if they see this, then I can guarantee you I will handle everything. I will tell them myself that it's just a rumor that some students created. And if you are afraid that because of this our lie will come out, then I will make sure that your family won't get to know it's a contract marriage," Rain said.

When Phayu heard the words "contract marriage," his expression turned serious again. This boy was now putting fuel to the fire. He stood there without saying anything, his eyes burning with anger.
