The next day, when Rain woke up, he didn't see Phayu anywhere. Rain got fresh and took a bath. His leg was not paining anymore, and he was feeling really good. By the time he sat on the bed again, Phayu came in with some breakfast. Rain looked at Phayu's face; he was looking so fresh this morning compared to yesterday."See, I told you we can sleep together. Look how fresh you are looking. You must have had a great sleep," Rain said, praising his own idea.
Phayu just rolled his eyes and didn't say anything, thinking about how Rain had wrapped around his body the whole night and hadn't let Phayu move even a bit for fear of hurting his wound. They finished their breakfast, and soon the doctor came to change the bandage on Rain's leg and shoulder. The wound was still looking very ugly, and Phayu wasn't liking it. He looked at the doctor and asked, "How much time will it take to heal completely?"
The doctor started to speak, "It will take—" but before he could complete, Phayu's phone rang. Phayu saw it was Ziva's call but cut the call as he was waiting for the doctor to explain. The doctor started to explain again, "This—" But again, the phone rang. Phayu looked at his phone in irritation, and Rain saw the look on Phayu's face. He spoke calmly, "Phayu, pick up the phone; it must be important. We can talk about this later."
Phayu's face wrinkled slightly, and he went outside to pick up the call even though he didn't want to. Finally, he picked up the call with a little irritation and asked in a very impatient voice, "What happened, Ziva? Is it something important?"
"Why didn't you pick up my call before?" Ziva asked, throwing a tantrum.
"I was busy," Phayu said without thinking much, as his whole attention was still on the doctor and Rain.
"Neither you came for my birthday, nor did you call me after I hung up in anger. What’s the matter, Phayu? What happened to you?" Ziva said emotionally.
"I am very busy these past few days, Ziva," he said, remembering how he was taking care of Rain. Nobody knew about the accident, not even his parents, so Phayu didn't tell Ziva about it.
"Now, when I am sick, you won't even come," Ziva said, a sob escaping her mouth. "I feel like I would die."
"You are sick?" Phayu asked.
"Yes, and I want you to come here immediately. I don't care where you are or how busy you are. If you don't come, I won't get better. I feel like I would die," Ziva said, trying to control her sobs. Then she cut the call.
Phayu went back into the ward. "Something has happened to Ziva, and she is not well. I think I need to go and see her," Phayu said to Rain.
Rain nodded his head immediately. "Oh, you go. There are many people to take care of me. Nothing would happen to me."
Phayu looked at Rain carefully, fixing the blanket that was covering Rain's leg and adjusting his leg's position. "I will send someone to take care of you. You move a lot when you sleep or rest, and try not to touch your wound." Phayu gave all the instructions to Rain.
"When did I move?" Rain huffed and asked.
Phayu remembered what had happened last night and took a deep breath. "When did you move? Leave it. Just take care of yourself. If the wound opens again, your leg won't be of any use this time."
"Enough! Stop giving me a lecture. Don't you think you should go to Ziva now?" Rain said.
After thinking for a moment, Phayu realized Rain was right. He took a last look at Rain and then left.
Soon Phayu reached Ziva's apartment. Ziva's room looked like a princess's chamber, and she was laying down on her bed with a blanket. When Ziva heard the doorbell ringing, she quickly checked her appearance. When Phayu entered her room, he saw Ziva on the bed, her half-covered body revealing a slinky nightdress. Although Ziva said she was sick, she even had makeup on her face.
