When Rain heard Ziva's name from Phayu's mouth, he understood that she must be Phayu's lover. Seeing Ziva, Rain could understand the type of person Phayu preferred, and why he often criticized him for being ill-mannered and clumsy. Ziva was standing there with an aura of elegance, wearing a white dress that highlighted her beauty. Rain shifted his gaze from Ziva to Phayu, feeling confused and out of place.
When Ziva saw Phayu, she immediately went to his side. They were looking perfect together in rain's eyes. Ziva fixed her gaze on Rain, scrutinizing him from head to toe with a look of disgust. Rain felt being judged, he didn’t know what to do. He looked at Phayu and said, “I have some work to do, I’m going to get to it,” and quickly ran inside the house.
As soon as Rain left, Ziva turned to Phayu and asked, “What type of boy have you picked up from the streets?” Phayu’s brows furrowed at her words, but he maintained his calm. “Have you read the message I sent you? I know things happened very fast, and they were out of my control. I know you must be very sad and angry, but I didn’t have any choice,” Phayu said in a guilty tone. “I know it’s difficult for you to accept, especially when everything happened so suddenly. If you want to leave me because of this, I will respect your decision. You can be angry at me, you can hate me. I’m ready to accept everything because I broke our promise. I will do anything you want.”
Ziva’s shoulders shook as she said emotionally, “I don’t want to do anything like that to you, Phayu. I could never do something like that to you. But what can I do now?”
Phayu felt a wave of guilt looking at her face. “I know what you’re trying to say, but believe me, things were out of my hands. My family forced me to marry him. Before the wedding, I didn’t even know his name, we were totally strangers. But you don’t worry, I will divorce him as soon as I get the chance.”
Ziva’s eyes shone with tears at the mention of divorce. “Really?” she asked, and Phayu nodded. “Don’t worry, we’ve already talked about it.”
Ziva and Phayu had been together since childhood. Phayu was always studious and focused on his studies, never paying attention to relationships. After graduating, when Ziva proposed to him, they entered a relationship, as Phayu felt comfortable with Ziva and thought it wasn’t a bad idea to be with someone he had known for years. Their families initially had no problem with them, but after an unfortunate event, Phayu’s family started hating Ziva. Things became complicated from then on. Ziva tried many times to fix things, but nothing worked. She wanted to marry Phayu, but his family wouldn’t agree.
Ziva always believed they would get married if Phayu didn’t find anyone else. She even tried her best to keep Phayu away from others, which wasn’t difficult because Phayu distanced himself from everyone after the incident. He became a workaholic, focused solely on his work. But now everything was a mess. Rain had come out of nowhere and married Phayu, spoiling all of Ziva's plans.
"I am sorry, Ziva. But if you like someone else, I won’t stop you," Phayu said.
"How can I leave you, Phayu? We have been together for so many years. I don’t know how to live without you," Ziva replied, her voice filled with emotion.
Phayu's heart softened at her words. "I just don’t want to hurt you, Ziva," he said sincerely.
"I trust you, Phayu. I know you will get a divorce one day. Until then, I will wait for you."
Meanwhile, Rain was sitting on the couch inside the house. The maid brought him food as he had requested. Rain's face was pale, and the maid thought he was angry. "Master, Miss Ziva and Khun Phayu are childhood friends, that’s why they are so close. But nothing has ever happened between them. Their relationship is pure," she explained.
