Strange Hearts || Heeseung

"How are you? I heard you had a seizure," Jaeyun asked as he walked down the stairs from the apartment next to Yuju. She didn't expect that he would appear in front of her apartment today, sure, sometimes he showed up but today it was inconvenient.

Jaeyun knows where Yuju lives because he once insisted on accompanying her home from work. And now he sometimes shows up and asks Yuju if she has time, but always makes an excuse not to go out with him.

"Well, I don't have time now," said Yuju in a hurry, afraid she'd be late, but Jaeyun wouldn't leave her side.

"You never have time," he laughed, Yuju nodded and hoped that he would just wake up now.

"Wait," he said and stopped; Yuju stopped as well and looked at him, asking questions, and pulled out an envelope from his jacket pocket and gave it to her. She opened it and saw money.

"You can't work for the rest of the week, and somewhere you need money-"

"No, I won't accept it," Yuju turned and put the money into Jaeyun's hands.

"Sorry, I have to go," Yuju nodded to Jaeyun and ran away so he couldn't catch up. She checked the address of the cafe, it was not far away; after a few minutes she arrived and looked around at where Garam sat.

"Yuju!" she heard Garam call, sitting at the farthest table and waving to her. Yuju walked towards her and sat down on the chair opposite Garam.

"Beautiful here, yes? I'm often here when I need distance from people," Garam said to her, smiling warmly at Yuju. She nodded and looked around at the café; it was dead quiet, and they were the only ones sitting there.

"Let's get started," said Yuju.

"I can hardly wait for tomorrow, it was so great today!" Garam laughed. They stood at a bus stop and waited for the bus that would pick up Garam.

"Yes," Yuju nodded, it was actually great to spend time with Garam. In these 3 hours they have found out a lot of information about the octopus, and Garam has actually participated. Yuju would have expected the opposite.

Garam looked at Yuju with a smile, "You're such an introverted person," she laughed. She had no idea what else to say, the bus arrived and Garam stepped in, Yuju waving at her because Garam did.

When the bus woke up, Yuju went to school, it was already half past ten and she had only half an hour. Yuju found the matter very suspicious, what did Heeseung have in mind?

Yuju already saw the school and took a tablet for safety, she went to the gates that were closed.

"You came," she heard Heeseung say, and he walked towards her and stood a few inches in front of her. He handed her a black face mask and Yuju looked at him in confusion.

"So you wouldn't get caught," he said.

"What are you doing?" she asked.

"We're breaking into the school," he held the teacher's room keys in front of her face, and now he's completely gone crazy. But before Yuju could speak, he spoke.

"Woe to you, you know what happens," he warned her, and Yuju's heart began to beat faster.

"Climb on me," he held his hands like a robber's ladder. He looked at her cautiously and Yuju put a foot on his hands, and in a few seconds she was already on the schoolyard. He climbed over the gates and stood beside her.

"What do you mean-" he took her hand and pulled it behind him. They were somewhere in the schoolyard, but where Yuju couldn't tell because it was too dark.

Suddenly Yuju felt two hands around her back, which she lifted up and threw into an open window. She did not land smoothly on the ground.

"Are you serious?" she looked at Heeseung, as he was coming out of the window next to her. All this was too much for Yuju, if someone caught her she got caught and stood up to climb out of the window again.

"Where are you going?" Heeseung asked and stopped her by pulling on her hood, annoyed Yuju turned to him.

"I won't play your little games, whatever you're up to," she said and stepped out of the window again. When she looked to the side, she saw Heeseung standing next to her.

Heeseung pulled Yuju to himself and knelt with her behind a bush, his arms wrapped around Yuju. Yuju looked at him; it was dark, but she could clearly see his features. Only now did she notice how good-looking Heeseung was...... and manipulative.

"Come," he took her hand and they walked softly on tiptoe to the exit. Heeseung helped her through the gate and when he was over it, Yuju ran away.
