Jaemin didn't sleep a wink last night, he lay in the comfiest bed he ever slept in yet couldn't manage to shut his eyes and drift off. He lay on his back, eyes open and staring at the ceiling as he watched the morning sunrise turn the white ceiling a warm yellow honey colour.
Jaemin had taken last night as the best opportunity to go back to hid apartment and grab a few things. Even though he was told he'd have the freedom to go and please, he was still surprised when he didn't find anyone follow hm out of the mansion and back to his apartment.
He grabbed a duffle bag full of his clothes and a slightly smaller bag for more of his essentials. He checked his personal phone one more time before turning it off and placing it in the safe he kept in his wardrobe.
The team had decided it would be better for Jaemin to keep his personal life as far away as possible, if 'The King's' knew who he's family, friends and what he actually did for work, there's no way he'd make it out alive.
Jaemin rubbed his eyes with the heel of his hands, swirls and dotted lined his eyelids, sighing.
Within seconds his bedroom had been thrown open by a certain crimson haired girl. She wore a simple pair of black yoga pants and a tight matching sports bra. Jaemin tried his absolute hardest to not look at the cleavage that was very much protruding from her tight clothing.
In the midst of his restraint to keep his eyes to himself, he remembered that he was indeed shirtless and revealing himself to the woman in front of him. Jaemin immediately jumped from soft bed, his ankle getting caught in the duvet, causing him to trip and hit the floor.
Alyx giggled at the buff male before her, expecting him to be the kind to radiate confidence the moment he steps out of bed, not falling flat on his face.
Jaemin had quickly recovered, wrapping his arm around his chest. Alyx looked at his arms, noticing for the first time the black ink that ran along the inside of his arm and wrist. The girl moved before thinking, her warm hand reaching out and grabbing Jaemin right wrist, pulling it towards her.
The male wanted to pull back, wanting to keep his exposed chest covered. However the woman's surprisingly soft grip held him place, he watched as her features that was normally hard and full of mischief, turn soft.
"The Fall of Icarus, the one that flew too close to the sun." She says tracings over the geometric lines with her thumb. "Are you the one with big ambitions that heed no warnings? Or the one with no guidance and lack of foresight?"
Jaemin looked into her eyes, becoming more comfortable in her presence. "You're familiar with the story" he says, not sure if he meant it as a question or rather a statement.
Alyx looked up at him, her eyes seemed different, not as harsh as normal, like there was some sort of emotion them, Jaemin couldn't quite decipher what it was. "Of course. What does this one mean?" She asks, changing the subject quickly.
Jaemin felt her hand let go of his right arm and move over to his left, also pulling it away from his body. Her thumb once again traced over the black ink, moving along the triple eights that sit vertical on his wrist.
Triple eight, the first one for his birth month, the next for Jimin's birth day and the final one for Jisoo's birth year. He smiled, thinking about his family, wishing he could talk her ear off about his siblings. Instead, he finally pulled away from her grasp and took a step back.
"Just an angel number." He says, moving to his open duffle bag to grab a white t-shirt. "Nothing special."
The corner of Alyx's mouth curls up, the façade taking control again. "Be ready in ten minutes, we have group training today. Don't be late." With that she walked away, closing the door behind her.
