"Show me how much I mean to you,
while I'm lying in these sheets undressed."Arabella POV
A few minutes later...
I stumbled back to the Slytherin common room hoping that Marvolo wouldn't follow. I just wanted to shower and sleep. A sharp pain began to form in the back of my head as I walked through the giant snake door.
"Arabella, is that you?" Ominis was standing in his usual spot by the window, his head tilted slightly to the side. Earlier in the day, I told him that the Keepers had another trial for me, but that was hours ago. I felt terrible that he was still awake.
"Merlin's sake, I've been worried sick waiting for you to walk back through that door." He quickly walked over to me and pulled me into him. I let the weight of the day slip away from me as I melted into his embrace, and I nearly collapsed as he held me.
"Come here, sit." He pulled me over to the couch closest to the water. He knew I loved the water, just like he did.
"Bloody hell, Arabella. What happened to you? I can smell blood on your head. When will these damn trials be over? I can't believe they're putting a student through all of this. I can speak with Black, see if he can force Fig to end this madness-"
"Ominis, please. Just hold me. I don't want to think about it. Any of it. And you can't go to Black, we don't know where his allegiance lies. Help me forget, please. I just want to forget that today happened."
I buried my head into his chest as he held me tight to him, pressing kisses into my hair. When I tilted my head up to get a better view of his beautiful face, he tilted his head down to kiss me. It had been a while since Ominis and I have had any time alone to do this. His kiss felt like a man starved, like I was the only thing that could satiate his hunger. I reciprocated in full, pushing him back against the couch cushions and tangling my fingers into his hair.
"Forget everything but me," his whispered voice cut through my internal thoughts.
I spoke against his lips, in between breaths. "I missed you so much, Ominis. I just- I need you. I desperately need you."
He kissed me fiercely, nipping at my bottom lip. "I missed you too, darling. I feel like I've been going mad without you, waiting for you to get back from these damned trials, or from another mission with Sebastian. And every time you return, it's like they've chipped more and more of you away."
He ran his thumb against my swollen bottom lip as he whispered. "What happens when there's nothing left?"
"You'll be there for me, to make me whole again. I know you will be."
"Arabella-"
"Please, Ominis." He dove back into me, and I could feel a hardness growing on my thigh.
"We can't do this here, darling. Someone will surely walk in."
"Let's go to my room then. Imelda left earlier today to get a headstart on the weekend so no one is in there." The tips of his ears began to turn red.
"Are- are you sure?"
"I've never been more sure about anything, frankly."
Ominis chuckled huskily in response, his hands continuing to wander along my thighs. He slowly shifted beneath my weight, his hands moving to grip my hips. In one fluid motion, he lifted me up and stood, keeping me securely in his arms.
