Luke's Point Of View

I threw the empty bottle towards the white wall, thinking of maybe I should text or call Noel. I have never went this long without seeing her and it's killing me. There's times where I can't sleep, staying up all night, looking through pictures that we've taken together.

I fiddled with my fingers as I stared up at the ceiling. The sound of Blink 182 in the background.

Ashton and Michael have spent the last two days, trying to get me out of my bedroom, they've stopped after quite awhile. A few minutes later, Calum knocks on the door.

"Go away," I said, throwing a pillow at my bedroom door. "I don't want to talk. I just want to be alone."

Calum opened the door anyway. "Are you okay?"

I rolled my eyes. "No."

He frowned a bit. "Are you drinking?"

I shook my head. "It's just a bottle of scotch."

He frowned again. "You need to stop drinking your life away, Lucifer. It's time for you to move on."

I rolled my eyes. "It's not that easy, Calum."

"And then I'll make it easy. Buy a plane ticket and fly to Arizona," He said.

My eyes went wide. Fly to Arizona? I don't even know what part of Arizona she even lives in. "Calum.. I don't even know what part of Arizona she lives in."

"Well, we could ask her aunt," He said and I quickly jumped out of bed.

---

We pulled to Cathy's house and my hands started sweating. I haven't even seen her since Noel left.. and that's six months ago. Time flies and I haven't even contacted Noel since.

"Are you okay?" Calum asked, turning the car off. "We don't have to do this if you don't want to."

I shook my head. "I have to do this. I have to see her."

I got out of the car and slowly walked up the stairs to her doorstep. I rung the doorbell and waited until she answered. Calum shuts the car and makes his way towards me. All of the sudden, the door opens and Cathy stared at us, gobsmacked.

"Luke?" She asked. "Is that really you?"

I nodded. "It's me." She motioned for Calum and I to come in.

"It's been awhile," She said. "How've you been?"

I shrugged. "I've been horrible. Cathy, what part of Arizona does Noel live in?"

"Scottsdale," She said. "Why?"

I looked at Calum and than back to her. "I need a ticket to Scottsdale, Arizona."

--

I quickly ran into my bedroom as soon as we arrived at my house. Calum ran after me. I got onto Google Chrome and searched flights to Arizona. I found one and it leaves tomorrow morning.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Calum asked, looking at me.

I nodded. "Of course."

"I'll drive you to the airport. I'll meet you here tomorrow morning. See you."

Calum exits my bedroom. I shut my laptop and put it on my nightstand. I suddenly feel nervous. I'm about to fly to Arizona to see Noel, the girl of my dreams.

I don't know why I never called or texted. I hate myself for that. I'm so happy she came that day or else I would have never met her. She's the most sweetest girl I've met, even though she went through some things, she always kept a smile on her face, even though it could've been fake.

I don't really say this.. but, she changed my life. I never believed in love until she came. She made me smile, laugh, and just happy. I have great friends and family, but I'm most happy with her.

I unlocked my phone and looked through the pictures we've taken. I smiled at each and very one of them. I remember when she beat us at bowling and when we went to the pond. Those were my favorite times with her and I can't wait to fly, so I can see her. I went through the old messages that we've sent to one another. And my call log is filled with her name. We would stay up until two in the morning, just talking to one another.

I locked and started packing for tomorrow morning. I talked to my mom and she said it was fine. My hands started shaking at just the thought of even flying to Arizona. What if she doesn't want to see me? What if she found someone? I frowned at the thought. I zipped my suitcase and set it by the front door.

---

Calum pulled up to the house around five in the morning. I set my suitcase in the back of his car and we drove to the airport.

"Do you want me to stay with you?" Calum asked as soon as we pull up.

I shook my head. "No, thanks. I'll see you when I get back."

I wave to him and he drives off. I exhale deeply and make my way into the airport. After twenty minutes, my flight is called and I already found my seat on the plane. My hands are shaking terribly and my heart is beating fast. I haven't seen her in such a long time. What could of possibly happened? I hope nothing bad happened.

--

I sat in the back of a taxi. I kept wiping my hands on my pants because they keep sweating. I am so nervous. We turned on a street and I noticed this is the street name Cathy gave me. I noticed lots of people were outside. Up ahead, there's a ambulance and couple of police cars. We arrived to Noel's house. I paid the driver and I got out. Police cars piled in and out of her house. My heart was beating fast. I walked up her driveway. I walked up to a boy and tapped on his shoulder.

"What happened?" I asked.

"You didn't here?" He asked.

"No," I said. "I flew in from Australia."

"Wait, are you Luke?" He asked.

"Yeah," I said. "I came to surprise Noel."

His eyes widen. "Luke, Noel is dead."

I gasped and tears filled my eyes. "W-what do you mean she's dead?"

"She committed suicide," He said. "By gunshot."
