Noel's Point Of View

Luke texted me and told me he'd pick me up around six thirty. It's now four o'clock. I'll get ready around five. I don't know what movie we're going to see, but there's something about movies that I hate.

I pulled out a blue dress and set it on my bed. I put a pair of sandals next to them. I put a necklace next to it. I smiled at what I pulled out.

I walked towards the mirror in my bedroom and looked at myself. There's something about me that's changed. I don't know what it is, but I'm scared to find out.

I smiled.

I looked happy when I smile. I should try to do it more often. I know there's a reason for my smiles. And it's a boy with blue eyes and comforting hugs. The fact that this guy can make me smile more than I thought. I learned so much, I never realized. I think I'm starting to get over Landon.

Then, I frowned.

I'm starting to get over Landon. I can't do that. I swore to myself that nothing here will change the fact that I'll be always in love with Landon no matter who I meet. I kept my word with that. But, Landon is slowly slipping from my mind. He isn't in my mind like he always was. I'm not having as much flashbacks as I used to. Maybe I'm forgetting.

I walked downstairs to find Aunt Cathy sitting on the couch with a book in her hands. She looked up at me and smiled.

"What's wrong?" She asked, putting her book on the coffee table in front of her. "Are you okay?"

"I think I'm starting to forget about Landon, Aunt Cathy," I said, sitting on the couch next to her. "I don't think about him as much."

"That's good, honey," She said. "You won't hurt as much because you're thinking about him."

"No, you hurt because you're alive," I said, looking out the window. "Before I got on the plane, I told myself that I'll never forget him no matter what. I'll always think about him. I feel bad because he's not in my mind as much as he used to be."

"And who is in your mind?" Aunt Cathy asked.

"Luke.." I mumbled.

She smiled. "Is there something about Luke that makes you smile? Or makes you laugh? What is is about him that you love?"

"His hugs," I said, smiling a little bit. "I feel happy when he hugs me. It comforts me a lot."

Aunt Cathy smiled as I babbled on about how much his hugs comfort me. I looked up and smiled. She looked happy. These past few months she's been tired because of me being the way I am. I did something that shocked us both.

I hugged her. She smiled into my shoulder and hugged me back. I let go and wiped the tears from my face.

"It's okay to let go and be happy. If Luke makes you happy, be happy. Landon wants you to be happy. That's all he wants. Okay?"

I nodded my head and she hugged me again. I went upstairs to get ready for a night out with the boys. I slipped on my blue dressed I picked out and slipped on my sandals and necklace. I straightened my hair. I put on some make up. I looked at myself and smiled.

The doorbell rings and I instantly know it's Luke and the others. Aunt Cathy yells from downstairs and I come downstairs. Luke stands by the door, but walks over as soon as I reached the last step.

"You look beautiful," He smiled.

I blushed and turned towards Aunt Cathy, who looked as if she's about to cry again. I waved and grabbed my wallet. I followed Luke out the door and towards the car. He helped me inside and he shuts the door. I looked at the other boys and they looked at me with their mouths open wide. I laughed and looked at Luke. He gave me the same look. I laughed again.

Luke started the car and we started driving towards the bowling alley. We parked and gotten out.

"Well, I don't mean to brag," Ashton said. "But, I've won more times at bowling then these three combined. So, you better step up your game. You probably won't because you're in a dress."

I gasped playfully. "You think I can't win because I'm in a dress? Well, you better get ready, Irwin."

He laughed and we entered the bowling alley. Calum ordered a lane for the five of us. We all gathered at the one at the very end. The order is Michael, Calum, Ashton, Luke, and then me.

"Aw, you're last," Luke laughed, hugging me. His lips slightly touched my cheek. He looked into my eyes and smiled. "You're so beautiful, you know."

I blushed and hid my face into his chest. He laughed and tightens his grip. I hear one of the boys clear their throat and tells Luke it's his turn. Michael walks over to me.

"He's whipped," He said, laughing. "I never seen him like this for someone."

I laughed. "Really?"

He chuckled and nodded his head. After Luke's turn, he walks over and stands next to me. He leans next to my ear. "You're turn."

I smiled and he kissed my cheek. Calum hands me a ball and I faced the alley. I took a deep breath and swung the ball down the alleyway. And all the sudden, every single pin was knocked down. I looked at the boys and smirked. All their mouths were wide open. I laughed and went to sit next to Luke. I laid my head on his shoulder.

"A girl in a dress can bowl," Ashton said, laughing.

After bowling, we decided to not go to a movie, we're thinking of doing that this weekend. We parked in front of a diner and gotten out of the car. Calum held the door for all of us. A waitress greeted us and led us towards a table towards the back. We sat down and ordered our drinks.

"Damn, Dawson," Michael laughed. "I never knew you were that good at bowling."

I laughed. The waitress comes back and hands us our drinks. She ordered our food and left. I felt someone's hand grab mine and I smile, already knowing who it is. I looked away Luke and smiled.

After eating, it was time for us to go home. Luke dropped everyone else off and we're parked in the curb of my house.

"I had a great time," I said.

"Good," Luke said, smiling at me. I smiled back. "I love spending time with you."

He leaned forward and kissed my lips softly. I smiled at him and kissed his cheek. I opened the door of his car and waved at him. He waved back and drove off down the road. I walked into the house and shut the door. I leaned back and slid down. I smiled to myself and for the first time in forever, I'm happy.
