Noel's Point Of View

As I sat on the roof of the house, I watched as people walked down the street or children playing in their front yards with their friends.

I could feel the breeze going through my hair. It relaxes me.

I haven't seen Luke since that day. It kind of helps me. I've been more to myself now that he's gone. I don't know where he is, but I won't find out. Lauren has been coming over. She's been talking about that girl who's been bullying her and wished someone helped her. I would, but helping isn't something I would do. There's a part of me that feels guilty, but it's washed away in a blink of an eye.

This pretty much a daily routine. Me sitting on the roof, thinking of ways that I could make myself better, which I didn't improve on at all.

The last few days, I've been inside the house. I didn't want to see anyone and refused to come out of my room. Aunt Cathy attempted to try to make me come out, but realized it's useless and it's wasting her time, which I don't care about anyway.

I stood up and stepped inside the house. I hear the doorbell ring and I groaned, but walked downstairs to answer. I don't even want to see anyone, even if it's my own mother.

"Hey," Luke said, smiling. "I haven't seen you in awhile and I just wanted to see if you wanted to hang out or something."

I slammed the door in his face and walked into the kitchen. I filled a cup with water and turned around. I screamed.

"Don't do that to me!" I screamed.

Luke laughed and held onto the wall for support. He laughed even harder. He wiped the tears from his face and looked at me. He smiled. I wasn't even impressed.

"Get out," I said.

"Oh, come on! Don't be such a Debby Downer," He laughed. "You need to get out and have fun."

I narrowed my eyes. He sighed and turned around.

"Alright, then," He said. "I guess I'll just have to socialize with the kids across the street. At least, they'll be up for a chat." He closes the door.

I rolled my eyes and sat on the couch in the living room. I looked up at the ceiling and closed my eyes.

An hour later, the doorbell rings again. I woken up, not realizing I fell asleep. I answered the door. It's Luke.. again.

"What do you want?" I said, trying to close the door, but he stopped it with his foot.

"Why don't you like me?" He asked, a look of interest comes onto his face.

"That ain't your business," I said, closing the door. The door opens and Luke walks in. He closes it and locks it. "Go away."

"I'm not leaving until you tell me why," He said.

"It isn't something I want to talk about, okay? It's kind of a personal thing," I said.

He huffed. He waves and walks out the door. Just like that? He's just going to walk out and not say anything? I don't care anyway. He's the least of my worries in this world.

Aunt Cathy arrived a couple hours after Luke left. She made some pizza for dinner. I filled my plate with three slices and sat on the couch. I decided to turn on Batman. Aunt Cathy sat on the opposite couch and watched the movie with me.

After the movie was over, Aunt Cathy went off to bed while I stayed in the living room.

After a lot of attempts to fall asleep, I decided to go on the roof. I opened the window and slid out. I sat down, pushed my knees against my chest, and wrapped my arms around my legs. The cool breeze felt good. It's around eleven o'clock at night. I seen a couple people walking the streets.

After about fifteen minutes, I walked inside the house and up to my bedroom.
