♡Clay pov♡
Things have been tense all day. It's 1pm, and George is currently pacing in the living room. He wouldn't eat lunch because he was so stressed and anxious. A knocking on the door stopped his pacing. He quickly went to go answer it. He opened it.
"Hi. You can come in." He said.
A woman stepped into the house with a clipboard. George guided her to the living room.
"These are your roommates?" She asked.
George nodded.
"And what are their names?" She asked.
George introduced all of us, also telling her Karl didn't really live her but stayed here often since he was dating Sapnap. He followed her as she inspected the house, fidgeting with his sleeved nervously.
"I feel bad. He's so anxious." I mumbled.
Karl and Sap nodded in agreement.
"I hope this goes well. He needs her back." Karl said.
The woman was here for around 30 minutes before leaving. George sighed and flipped onto the couch next to Karl.
"How'd it go?" I asked.
George leaned against Karl, and Karl put his arm around him.
"I think it went well. I was hoping to get her back today, but that's not gonna happen. I miss her so much." George said.
Karl frowned, hugging him tighter.
"You'll get her back, George. You're a good dad." Karl assured.
George nodded.
"I need to be alone for a bit." He said quietly.
He stood and walked to the stairs. He slowly went up.
"He seems off." I pointed out.
Karl nodded. I stood and went up the stairs. I went down the hall to George's room. I stood in front of the door and listened. I heard loud, heart-wrenching sobs. I gently knocked on the door.
"Can I come in?" I asked.
"Y-Yeah." He stuttered.
I opened the door and stepped inside, shutting it behind me. He was curled up on his bed, sobbing. I went over and sat on the edge of the bed next to him. He sat up.
"Do you wanna talk about -"
He hugged me. I was taken aback.
"Can I wrap my arms around you?" I asked softly.
He nodded, burying his face in my shoulder. I slowly wrapped my arms around his waist. I could feel his body tense as it shook from his cries. I carefully pulled him into my lap, and he clung to me. I gently ran my fingers up and down his back.
"It's okay, George. I'm here. Everything's alright." I mumbled.
"What if I don't get her back?" He cried.
"You're an amazing dad. You're going to get her back." I assured him.
I could feel him shaking. Suddenly, he quickly scrambled out of my lap.
"I'm sorry. I can't." He mumbled.
I'm confused.
He curled his legs to his chest and wrapped his arms around them. I reached for him, and he flinched away.
"Don't touch me, please." He said.
I don't understand. He just let me hug him, and now I can't?
"Did I do something that made you uncomfortable?" I asked softly.
