♡George pov♡
I awoke to the sound of someone talking. I slowly opened my eyes. There were 2 men next to the bench I was sleeping on. I slowly sat up and looked at them.
"Hey, what's your name?" One asked.
They both moved closer to me.
"George." I said quietly.
"How long have you been out here?" He asked.
"Five days." I replied.
"Well, George, you're far too pretty to be out here. Do you know what happens to pretty bitches like you?" He asked.
I can assume.
I felt my body become shaky in fear. They moved closer, and I stood up.
"L-Leave me alone." I stuttered.
One of them had a knife. I just turned and started running. I heard them start chasing me. I got out of the park and started running down the sidewalk. I could still hear them behind me.
"Help! Help me!" I screamed.
I was tackled, and a hand was put over my mouth. I tried to fight back, but the other guy grabbed my wrists to stop me. I began to sob as my heart raced.
Not again. Please. No. I can't.
"Hey!"
They both turned to look at the voice. It was a woman.
"The fuck you think you're doing? Leave him alone!" She yelled.
I heard a gunshot, and the 2 let go of me and ran away. I sat up, shaking horribly. A woman who I had seen around the park walked over to me. She put the small handgun back in her bag.
"Come on. Let's get your stuff." She muttered.
I stood and followed her back into the park. We went to my bench, and someone had clearly already gotten into it. I sighed and gathered my bags.
"Find somewhere else to sleep." She demanded.
I nodded and left the park again. I began walking down the sidewalk.
I'm never going to get Rose back. I don't deserve to. She deserves a better life with a nice, loving family instead of a barely functionable dad.
I began walking across a bridge, glancing down at the water.
I should jump. It's not like I have anything to live for anymore. My baby is gone, and I'm never going to get her back. I'm not good enough to be a father. I never was. I never will be. Even if I somehow get her back, I wouldn't be good enough.
I dropped my bags and looked over the railing again. All I could hear was crickets chirping and the rushing water below.
What a peaceful noise.
I grabbed the railing and hoisted myself up. I climbed over onto the other side. I held onto the railing and stuck one foot out.
I could take a step and fall to my death right now.
I smiled at the thought as I looked down at the rocky river. I could see dozens of sharp rocks under the rushing water.
It'll definitely kill me.
I kept a hold on the railing and leaned my whole body forward. The wind blew my hair and t shirt.
What a wonderful feeling.
♡Clay pov♡
I've spent the past couple of days searching for George for Karl's sake. Karl is so worried about him. I even went as far as to dig into George's past. I visited his parents' house and got a door slammed in my face.
