♡George pov♡
I jolted awake, quickly sitting up. I was breathing heavily, which strained my ribs. My shirt was gone, and there was bandaging around my torso.
I'm okay. I still have pants on. Nobody had sex with me. I'm fine.
"George?"
I didn't have to turn around to know that Clay was behind me. I could recognize his morning voice. I always yearned for it when I woke up in the woods. When I lay there naked, cold, and scared, I just wanted to hear him tell me good morning and tell me how beautiful I am.
"What's wrong, gorgeous? Why are you crying?" He asked, sitting up.
He was shirtless as well, and I assumed he got hot during the night like he always does. He finds it uncomfortable sleeping in a shirt anyway.
He gently wiped the tears from off my face.
"My pretty baby. Did you have a nightmare?" He asked.
I nodded. He hugged me, and I nuzzled my face into his chest. He gently began leaving kisses on the top of my head and my cheek.
"I'm sorry you had a nightmare, beautiful. I'll stay up with you for however long you want." He told me.
I'm tired again. Just from his comfort, I calmed down.
I yawned, and he laughed a bit.
"Wanna go back to sleep?" He asked.
I want my sweatshirt.
He must've noticed, and he grabbed his sweatshirt. He helped me get it on. He laid down, taking me with him. I kept my head on his chest.
I miss Rose, but I don't think I can be around her. I can't even fucking talk. I don't think it would be good for her to see me like this. Beaten up and even more traumatized than before.
I hummed and tapped Clay's chest.
"What's up, baby? What do you need?" He asked.
I made a gesture for a phone. He gave me his, and I unlocked it as I already knew his password. I went to his notes app and typed out my thoughts on Rose. He read through it and nodded.
"You can do whatever you want, George. We've been taking care of her just like you wanted. I'm sure she would understand. She's really smart." He told me.
I nodded, and he put his phone down.
"Why won't you talk to me? I wanna hear your pretty accent." He said, a hint of sadness in his voice.
I frowned.
I don't want him to be sad.
"You don't have to talk, George. Did Tony get mad at you when you talked?" He asked.
I nodded and winced a bit at the memories. He hugged me tighter, gently running his fingers through my hair.
"I'm sorry I couldn't save you." He apologized quietly.
I looked at him. His eyes were watering. A couple of tears slid down his face, and he wiped them.
"I'm sorry." He repeated.
I shook my head and hugged him. He returned it.
"I'm so happy to have you back, my love." He mumbled, kissing the top of my head.
Clay treats me too well. I feel like I don't deserve his love.

I woke up to the sound of the hospital room door opening. The door was kinda shitty so it made a creak whenever it opened. It shut.
