♡George pov♡
I woke up to the bed moving and a door being shut. I slowly opened my eyes and sat up.
Clay's gone.
I began to panic a bit, quickly scrambling out of bed. I left the room and saw the bathroom light on. I knocked gently on the door.
"Clay? Are you okay?" I asked.
I heard a sniffle from behind the door.
"I'm okay. Please go back to bed. I'm fine." He told me.
I sat down against the other side of the door.
"I'm gonna wait for you." I said.
Around 10-15 minutes passed before the door opened. He had a sweatshirt on now. He offered his hand, and I took it. He pulled me up. He let go of my hand and wrapped his arms around himself as we went back to his room.
What's wrong with him?
"Hey, are you okay?" I asked softly, shutting the door behind us.
He nodded and walked over to his bed, climbing into it. I went to the couch as he seemed upset.
"George." He mumbled.
"What?" I replied.
"Can you hold my hand until I fall asleep?" He asked.
He's not mad?
I got off the couch and climbed into the bed. I got under the blankets, and he did as well. He offered his hand, and I hesitantly intertwined our fingers. He sighed and shut his eyes.
"Are you upset with me?" I asked.
He opened his eyes again and shook his head. He gently squeezed my hand.
"I'm not upset with you at all. You've done nothing wrong. It's just me." He mumbled.
"Do you wanna talk about it?" I asked.
He shook his head.
"Not yet." He replied.
I laid down, so I was facing him with our intertwined fingers between us.
"I'll tell you more about my boyfriend eventually. More of the things he did." I said.
He frowned, and his thumb gently rubbed against my hand.
"He's not your boyfriend anymore, George." He reminded me.
I nodded.
"I forget." I mumbled.
He gently squeezed my hand again.
"You're really good with Rose." I told him.
"I've always wanted kids. It's good to have her around. She's funny." He said.
"She really likes you. I can tell." I stated.
He smiled.
"That's good. She's a good kid." He replied.
I smiled and nodded. It went quiet, and he shut his eyes again. I slowly reached my hand to his hair, moving it away from his eyes. He leaned into the touch as my fingers brushed against his face.
"Your hands are soft." He mumbled.
"You think so?" I asked.
He nodded. I hesitantly rested my hand on the side of his face. He smiled and rested his hand on top of mine. I flinched a bit and pulled away.
"Sorry." I apologized.
"It's okay." He assured me.
It went quiet again. I shut my eyes as well.
