Choso dropped sukuna and Yuji off at the campus before he began the 30 minute drive back to your childhood neighbourhood. You sat in the front and stared out of the window while having idle conversation with choso . "I've only been in college for two months and I already miss it" you said sighing watching the cars pass by you . Choso hummed in agreement, "I really missed you guys when I was in the first year here. It was nice to keep coming back here to see everyone" . "I really missed you when you were in college alone" you said smiling lightly . Choso gave you a weak smile , "you're with me now though?" You nodded , "I'm gonna miss the daisies the most" .
"We can always come back"
"Promise?"
"Promise"
Choso's hands littered with tiny scars , and wearing different intricate rings on his fingers , his fingers traced the bulb of the gearstick as he pulled over and parked in a space in walking distance to the daisy field. The two of you walked side by side until you made it to the daisy field . The memories and all the feelings connected to the daisy field all came back to you . You walked towards your usual spot near the tree that fully overlooked the beach down below .
You sat down in the grass amongst the daisies , choso quickly joined you . He sat practically man spreading whilst sitting down on the grass . You smiled and watched the waves from down below . "Y/n" choso started before he could actually speak your phone buzzed .
Satoru : yo
Satoru : hey
Satoru : where r u
Satoru : heyyyyyyy
Satoru : ur not answering the door
You : how do you know where I live stalker 😭
Satoru : where are you omg
You : I'm not there
Satoru : uhuh i gathered that one
Satoru : text me when ur back I have something to return
You stared at your phone confused before satoru sent a selfie of him holding up the peace sign to his face , your thong balled up in his fist . Your cheeks heated up and you stared at your phone embarrassed
You : WHY ARR YOU JUST CARRYING THEM OUT IN THE OPEN.
Satoru : it was supposed to be a quick trip but YOU aren't HERE
Breaking you out of thought whilst texting choso spoke whilst looking at the view "Do you regret losing your virginity to me?"choso asked awkwardly, returning to the shy sulking boy he was when you had first met him in the same spot . Your eyebrows knitted together, "why would you ask that?" . "Just because- well...yknow you usually lose it to someone who you like I dunno someone special" , you put your phone down , "you are a special person to me choso- you'll always be in my life no matter what" . "Nothing can ruin what- whatever we have right?" He asked nervously . You stared at him blankly almost doe eyed , "no I've known you for too long" . "I don't know how to ask this without sounding like a dick" "ask" "when do you think you're ready to like settle down- for like a proper monogamous relationship" .
You laughed at his awkward demeanour - choso had truly never grown out of his shyness . He had become able to be more social but he was truly just super introverted. "Uhm...I'm not sure- I would love one but like I justttt started college and like I'm only 18 I'm young right- why? Are you waiting for me to settle down so you can have me?" You asked laughing , jokingly teasing him. Choso's cheeks flushed , "you've been spending too much time around sukuna."
You stared at choso's face , his dark eyes stared back at you.
Not yet.
You couldn't . Not yet , you didn't know if these feelings for choso was just you clinging onto fondness for your childhood or if these were real feelings you were experiencing. You were scared this would be what would ruin your friendship with choso . However you couldn't just admit all of this to choso and have him wait for you until you decide what you want- if he even wants you that is . So you kept quiet .
"What? Do I have something on my face" he asked confused , you shook your head smiling at him , "just happy to be here with you" . "I'd go anywhere you'd want to y/n- you're too much of a liability to go anywhere by yourself too" he smiled back at you .
Okay you can admit to yourself , you have a teensy crush on choso. Just a crush. Probably one that would fade and doesn't mean anything - it won't escalate and he doesn't even feel the same way. you both sat together enjoying the atmosphere - appreciating each others company . The daisy field means new beginnings to you. This was a new beginning - college , well you had been there for a couple months already but fully experiencing college .
Having stupid boyfriends , making new friends , partying , studying , learning , having fun. Suppressing feelings for your childhood friend.
After a while you both walked back to the car , in the car your phone buzzed again .
Yuji : Y/NNNNN Megumi doesn't wanna watch movies with me
Yuji : come watch olsllspslspksolss
Yuji : well when you get back
Yuji : I'll order food with my own money I swear 🙏
Yuji : BTW I GOT A JOB IN THE SAME CLOTHING STORE AS YOU
You : So I'm stuck with you
Yuji : wtf I'm gonna start messing up and blaming you so you get fired
You : next hair cut you'll be bald
Yuji : you wouldn't
You : shushhhh I'll be over when I get back I promise
