Chapter 24: Don't wanna fall in love

The boys all filtered in to the bus to go back to the campus . You fiddled with your fingers , your eyebrows furrowed . Choso stopped you before getting on the bus . His large hand enclosed your wrist firmly but not in a way that would hurt you, just in a way to keep you close. "What's wrong you're being skittish it's not like you" he said softly , his dark brown eyes scanned yours trying to read your face better. You shook your head , "nothing" he looked back at you with a look of disproval and nodded which was like a , "stop fuckin lying just spit it out" . You sighed , "I just- have a bad feeling about the party later today" .

Choso raised his brow at you, "you? You're worried about a party?" You rolled your eyes and stammered to think of what else you could possibly say without explicitly saying , "I don't want to see you being buddy buddy with your ex girlfriend" . His rough hands were placed gently on your slouched shoulders , "I'm just nervous to meet the other team" you said as your final answer .

He laughed humourlessly, "you're worried about meeting people? Angel that is the biggest lie I've heard come out of your mouth since you said you weren't drunk at the party you got us banned at" . You shook your head embarrassed and reminded of that party . "How about you ride with me? Just me and you, we can talk all this nervousness out" .

You bit on your lower lip and you texted Yuji to tell Toji you were with choso. You slumped down into the passenger seat , his fingers tapped against the leather of his steering wheel , he sighed and turned to tell you , "you looked really pretty at that party on Saturday" . He struggled to keep eye contact whilst telling you that . You crinkled your nose , "why didn't you just tell me that on Saturday?" . "You intimidate me" he said bluntly , you've known choso for more than 14 years . How the fuck can YOU intimidate a tank like him? "I intimidate you?" You asked chortling . Choso started the engine and changed gears, "you do know you're pretty right?" He said putting his arm around the back of your seat looking back to reverse his car .

You stared at him , he wiped his clammy hand onto this black sweatpants . He twitched , he was clearly unsure about what his next move was . "Did I make things weird? Stop staring at me" he asked nervously , you laughed at him "you're such a dork oh my god" . "Wow. First of all , dork? This isn't 2012 . Secondly , is that a bad thing?" . You interlink your pinkie with his , " I couldn't even use the word bad to describe you or anything about you" you said playing with his free hand lazily .

"Angel?" . "choso?"

"is it Yuki that you're nervous about?" He asked solemnly , you stared down at your hands and nodded . "She won't say anything mean don't worry" he said . Like yes you're totally worried about her being mean to you and not her trying to get back with choso . Totally .

He parked his car at the on campus parking garage and started to walk you back to your dorm , "I'll be waiting for you all in the lobby at uhh 7:50 so that gives you like six hours to get ready but I'm guessing Yuji will want wingstop before we go. So be ready in three hours , sound good?" He said swinging his keys around his index finger. You nodded , "mhm bye Cho" you smiled and waved him goodbye . Nobara was sitting painting her toes in the living room , she didn't look up to see you since she was so focused , "hey babe how was the game?" . You sighed heavily and sat down next to her , "we won but Yuki , yknow Yuki I told you about her- choso's ex . She's the other teams manager like fuck my life . Even better , she'll be at the party tonight . She'll just be giving me dirty looks while trying to rekindle with choso" you said frustrated .

"I don't think he'll go crawling back to her ." She said dipping the brush back into the nail polish. "I dunno nobara" , "whyre you so worried anyways? Are you finally gonna admit that you like him?" She smiled . You scoffed , "choso and I are just friends- like how Yuji and I are just friends" you justified yourself . "Uh-huh whatever you say- also I got this adorable two piece , it's like a cream color and it's strapless , long skirt . The top is like a tube top and it's sheer - it has like the fabric that goes like down and it's flowy yknow what I mean and then the maxi skirt is also looks sheer but isn't it has like the skin colored material under it." She explained . You laughed , "so are you wearing that tonight?" . She shook her head , "oh no I didn't have the tits for it- you can wear it. It's on your bed" You jumped up from your seat and ran to your bedroom to try it on .

It was now 6:35 . You were holding the boys up since you also had another everything shower and you were helping nobara get ready . Also posting on socials and scrolling through socials . Texting people . Getting on call with people . You just ended up getting carried away before realising the time . You put on white high heels and took the elevator to the lobby . You walked over to the boys , "y/n why do you always outdress us" Yuji complained . You laughed and hugged his arm , "maybe you should stop wearing the same yellow hoodie to everything and I won't outdress you" .

He shook his head violently , "absolutely not this is my pride and joy all the ladies love it" . "All the ladies are repelled from it" sukuna said snorting. "SHUT UP SUKUNA you had sex ONE time and you think you're like the sex god" . Choso kinda just stared as if he was zoned out , he was probably just nervous about seeing Yuki again . Probably .
