Chapter 55 : divine timing

The next morning the ache that began in your pelvic region somewhat embarrassed you , you had never ached as much as this before . Choso really did a number on you. Before you knew it you were downstairs having breakfast with your family when you got a knock at the door, your mom quickly got up and walked to answer , "good morning Mrs H" , "smells good in here" , "Morning did you sleep well?" You heard the three distinctive voices coming from the door and walking inside , making their way to the dining room .

Your dad wiped away the food from his mouth , "good morning boys, what're you all doing here? Have you come to steal my daughter away?" . Sukuna eyed up the food on the table , "you want some sukuna?" , choso shook his head , "I just made you a very thoughtful breakfast and you want more food?" . Sukuna sat down at the table , "I'm growing I need food" , "yeah growing in width not height" Yuji said giggling to himself , "do all of you boys want some?" Your mom asked sweetly , Yuji sat down immediately, "you know it Mrs H" . Choso held his hand to his chest , "is my food not good enough for my brothers?" .

You finished your food , put on your shoes and left the house with the three brothers . "What are we doing today?" Yuji wraps his arm around your neck "you'll never guess who we saw posting on their insta story in our little beach side town" you heard a deep sigh from choso "he's like a cold sore he keeps appearing just when you think it's gone for good" . Sukuna scratched his head , "I don't even know why he'd wanna show his face here there's fuckin nothing here , no ladies , no nothin- well there's y/n but she's barely a lady" . You rolled your eyes , "charming as ever sukuna" , "you know it"

This meant that satoru was here , choso is in your heart and in your guts but why does satoru still feel like a fresh wound? You were never anything serious you both knew that but what if in another life things did work out. Did you want closure? Is that what you longed for? A move so innocent but it was a small thrill to hide in plain sight . Taking in the summer breeze , sukuna began to laugh . His usual boisterous laugh erupted from his mouth , "we gotta go- this guy is fuckin hilarious. Gojo has an airbnb in one of those summer houses right on the beach and of course it's an open invite party" . Yuji stared at all of you , "so we're going?"

You all arrived at the house , you all split up to do your rounds to say hello to people and get drinks , when you locked eyes with suguru who was sat on the surprisingly empty couch . This was a surprise since he was fully in dad mode the last time you saw him , but then you remembered sora mentioning having a sleepover tonight and it made total sense that the people she was having sleepovers with were suguru's daughters. "Funny seeing you here stranger" you smiled and hugged him , his arms tightened around you , "it's been a while , plus I'm out here with the girls thought it would be nice for them to be by the beach- they're with your sister tonight so I can have a small break" you laughed , "and you had to bring him along?" With emphasis on him he knew who you meant , "he wanted to come I didn't offer but it's nice to have an extra pair of hands when dealing with raising two twin girls" you laughed once more , "I can imagine- how have you been I've missed talking to you" , suguru smiled and took a sip of his drink , "you're not far off from a love confession now y/n , I'm still single if you were wondering" you rolled your eyes and slapped his chest , "shut up you know I just wanted to know, I care about you suguru"

He wrapped his arm around you, squeezing his shoulder , "you're a good girl with a good head on your shoulders I just hope you make the right choices" he said taking another sip , "I don't like him like that" , "which one?" . You rolled your eyes , "you know who" , "I don't think I do doll" . You narrowed your eyes at him and furrowed your brow , "satoru is who I meant" suguru nodded and kept his arm around you , "so what's going on with you and the three brothers?" You shrugged , "nothing- nothing new" he laughed , "so you're still single then" you shrugged again , "well..we know how indecisive you can be but I think you know better than to continue your recent behaviours when you have a perfect partner right in front of you. You know where his feelings lie with you but do you know your own?"

You turned your head to look at him , "suguru..." He squeezed you to him tighter , "I know . A little sad it won't be me but he treats you best anyone could and that's good enough for me. I think you need to go talk to satoru now and finish this for good" you smiled at him wrapped your arms around his neck once more before heading upstairs where suguru told you satoru currently was . You knocked and opened up the door to see satoru but he was dressed up in a probably expensive blue designer button down shirt and black suit pants , he leaned on his elbows and looked out of the window .

You cleared your throat , "satoru?" In the window you saw his expression shift he almost smiled , "what have you got to say to me now harada?" You shut the door behind you , "so can we talk?" He turned his head to look at you , your eyes locked and it felt like the very first day all over again. This is wrong . These feelings are wrong but suguru's words reassured you . You knew this was right to end things for good . Satoru smiled at you , "we're talking aren't we?" You sat on the edge of the bed , "satoru I just wanted to tell you-" he scoffed and stood at the other end of the bed , "tell me what y/n? You love choso? I can fuckin see that but what I'm not seeing is why we have this push and pull. Don't even try to deny it because we both know there's something going on here. You know it and I know it . I think this whole choso thing is a safety blanket for you because you're scared you're gonna get your feelings hurt with me and you're scared of hurting other peoples feelings being with me. But this- whatever this fuckin is- it's...it's messed up Harada" Satoru walked around the bed and sat next to you , you bit on your bottom lip . What Satoru said was wrong , it's wrong. He sighed , "why do we keep doing this Harada. You can lie to me but you can't keep lying to yourself" you scowled in response , "I'm not lying to anyone Gojo. But I'm not gonna sit here and argue with you about it" he let out a dry laugh , in the dusk his eyes were even more blue than they had ever been . They lingered on you longer than he had planned but his brain spoke for him before his heart was able to diffuse the situation , "oh but at every party you're just gonna show up and we're gonna have a talk and nothing is gonna progress because we just avoiding what we could be...together. How things should be, y/n you know it's me" before you could open your mouth the door swung open

"What the fuck are you guys doing in here?" It was choso , anger painted his face and he was practically turning into a green eyed monster. But then you noticed suguru stood behind him with his arms crossed , leisurely leaning against the wall . Surely not . He wouldn't set you up . Not suguru .
