Chapter 45 : blue velvet

The class came to a close , "y/n momma, if you don't at least kiss choso soon...this pencil will be jammed in your aorta" she said holding up her mechanical pencil , you squished her cheeks with your hand , "okay babe whatever you say" you said giggling at her before walking away . "I MEAN IT" she shouts before you walk out the door .

Once out of the door you were instantly ambushed , strong arms around your neck pulling you closer to them , "im so so so so excited game day THIS FRIDAY" Yuji said hugging you tighter , you pat him on his forearm . "Well it's Wednesday so it's the last day of practice this week before the game with the whole team" you said with a half smile creeping on your lips , you loved how excitable Yuji was .

Yuji switched to only having one arm around your shoulder as you walked together to the quad to meet the other twin sukuna , still in the same outfit you had seen him in previously . His dark eyes softened when he saw the two of you skipping up to him arm in arm . "No matter where we meet you two always end up late" sukuna said with his usual gruff expression

The three of you walked into the gymnasium, the twins ran into the locker room to change into gym clothes , you saw Toji sitting , phone to his ear as he quickly wrote down notes onto his clipboard , "uh-huh...woah woah woah kong calm down I got it sorted- yeah I'll run it through with smiler" his chartreuse eyes meeting yours before he tapped his clipboard with the pen in his hand signalling you to come over , you took the clipboard in your hand to see that the next game would be the city away so you'd have to stay overnight which would cause sleeping issues since you're a female .

You stared at the board trying to think of a solution , before you came to one. You got your phone out and began typing .

You : choso choso choso , book a hotel room for us two at the hotel the basketball team is staying at !!!! Pretty please it'll mean a lot :)))

Choso : send the link I'll buy it for us don't worry I got it covered 👍

You sent the link to choso and put your phone back into your bag , toji's head tilted as he put the call on mute , "are ya sorted? I would'a let you stay with me but yknow money is tight- inflation or whatever" . You smiled at the older man and nodded , "it's fine I got a..friend to get a room for me" . Toji continued talking to Mr Kong some more before he asked another question , "how are you gettin' to the hotel? You travelling with us? Or with the friend? If it's up to me, you should travel with us - yknow how forgetful I am don't you smiler?" . You shrugged , "I'm not sure yet I'll probably carpool with choso but if you guys really need me I'm sure choso will be fine travelling solo" .

Toji nodded and cleared his pile of papers off of the bench so you could sit beside him , he tapped his hand off of the bench motioning for you to sit down next to him . "Okay kong whatever you say, my boys will win again with more than just one point this time" toji said cockily down the phone to Kong , you weren't gonna be up against BDG for a while not until after Christmas but Toji loved to keep up the semi-friendly rivalry .

The boys began to filter out of the locker room , mahito happily skipped up to you taking the spot Toji was previously in before he walked away , "you should be practicing mahito this is the last practice" you said playing with the ends of your hair checking for split ends . He psshed you and waved his hand , "too boring I like talking to you" . "I don't think a teammate likes you talking to me you better watch your nose doesn't actually get broken this time"

And as if he had super surround sound hearing his head of white hair perked up , blue eyes shooting daggers at mahito before he walked over , "were you not listening in the locker room when we all said we'd be working hard today? I don't think Harada wants to hear any more of your sob stories" satoru said sourly , his face scrunched up he looked disgusted almost . Mahito stood up trying to size up satoru who easily had a good 6 inches on him , "just because you're the captain doesn't mean you have jurisdiction over what I do with my practices" , "jurisdiction? Big words for you mahito I would've thought all of your braincells were fried away- just like all of your serotonin due to your raging Molly addiction" suguru said chiming in , he had a calm smile on his face - his arm draped around satoru's shoulder .

Mahito's hands clenched tight into a fist , "fuck you suguru , your boyfriend doesn't need your help" , suguru laughed and walked away , satoru's eyes narrowed back onto mahito , then focused on you , he was trying to read your face or more so how you felt toward mahito . Satoru Gojo was jealous . That's why he had been keeping quiet and staying his distance , he was trying to suppress his feelings .
