"The guy said to press the power button" Johnny says while walking through the door into the apartment where Jess was on the couch.

"You're seriously telling me you didn't try that before" she turns to look at him "you said it was broken"

"Yeah well I'm not a nerd" he says and Jess rolls her eyes.

"I'm going to the beach with Hawk and Miguel" she tells him

"Have fun" he says sitting down with the laptop "not too much fun though, I don't want you in a throuple"

"Ew dad!" She exclaims

"What I'm just saying" he raises his hands in defence "I see how Hawk looks at you it freaks me out"

"Okay I'm going now" she says opening the door "I'll see you later"

It was a hot day so Jess wore a bikini with some shorts over the top of the bottom half. Jess, Eli, Demetri and Moon decided to play volleyball before Miguel turned up.

Demetri served the ball so bad that it went straight into the net. "Mulligan, send it back" he says

"No mulligans in volleyball" Eli tells him

"Says you" Demetri mutters "water break!"
And he picks up the Cobra Kai towel.

"Cobra Kai? You guys won that karate tournament right?" A girl passing by asks

"The All Valley? We certainly did" Demetri says causing Jess and Eli to look at each other.

"Cool, we're gonna go for a swim, but maybe play with you later?" She suggests

"Most def" Demetri responds "that means most definitely"

The girls giggle before walking away.

"Look at you player" says Moon

"it'd be nice if you actually earned the Cobra Kai cred you're so happy to take. When at ruin gonna sign up?" Eli asks

"I don't know im kind of enjoying the gain without the pain" Demetri comments

"Maybe one day" Jess says

"Hey there's the man" Eli says as Miguel approaches them

"What's up" Miguel says lacklustre as he dabs up Eli.

"No, no more of this" Eli says "it's a beautiful day, the beach is packed with babes, no more sulking about Sam"

"I'm not sulking about Sam" Miguel says "it's about Sensei"

This intrigues Jess, causing her attention to move from her conversation with Moon to theirs.

"Is this about his rap sheet? My parents read it online" Eli mentions "I think it makes him more badass"

"It's about him and Robby Keene" Miguel admits "I think Sensei is his dad"

Both of them look towards Jess who gives them an awkward smile.

"Are you serious" Eli asks "why didn't you say anything"

"Thought it wasn't important" she shrugged

"That explains why he's giving us shit for kicking Keene's ass at the tournament" Eli says "show no mercy, unless it's his son"

"Hey that's unfair" Jess says "what you did was shitty as is, obviously he doesn't want to see his son beat up, the same way I don't want to see my brother beat up"

"I can't believe he's your brother" Miguel says

"Yeah well we have our issues"

They were all stretching in the dojo when Aisha came rushing over to tell them about the Miyagi-do commercial.

"Sam's dad started his own dojo and he disses Cobra Kai" she explains

Jess heads to her dad's office where him and Kreese were. She gives a quick smile at Kreese before drawing her attention away.

"Dad have you seen the video from LaRusso" she asks

"Yeah and I know exactly what to do" he replies

"There's a lot of talk going around the Valley about free karate, but everyone knows that in life you get what you pay for" Johnny says, pointing the camera jess was holding "you wanna really kick the competition?" He kicks a flower pot "then you need to get your ass over to Cobra Kai. Screw that lame meditation bullshit. What you need is bone-crunching, face-smashing, good old American karate" he punches the dummy "enough about self defence. Learn self offence. Don't be a pussy, join Cobra Kai and let me teach you the way of the fist." And she stops recording.

"Great" she says

"Make sure the Cobra Kai snake comes in at the end I want it to really pop" he says "and make it chrome. And throw 'thunderstruck' under it"

"I'm pretty sure the rights for that song will cost too much" Aisha tells him

"No I already own it, cassettes in the car" he says "and put one of those hash browns at the end. You know like 'hash brown team Cobra Kai' or something. A then send it to the internet!" He says leaving the room

"Yep got it" Jess says looking around shaking her head

"We are going to talk to Sensei" Eli tells her

"I don't think that's a good idea but if you really want to" she tells him "we still going out tonight?"

"Yeah" he nods "I'll pick you up at six" they smile at each other before he follows Miguel to the back to speak to her dad.

"You seriously have to clean the mats for a week" she laughs as she sits opposite to Eli as she eats her food from the arcade.

"Yep" he says taking a fry from her meal.

"I told you not to bring it up with him" she says "it's too much of a touchy subject"

"I guess" he agrees "what do you think about Sensei Kreese?"

"I'm not sure" she says "growing up I never heard much good about him, apparently he destroyed my dad's second place trophy when Daniel LaRusso won"

"Doesn't he sound like fun"he comments. The food was pretty much all gone now and they'd already played almost every machine at the arcade. Jess had a fun time with him, she always did.

"So are you driving me home" she smiles while they walk outside together

"Do I have to" he jokes and she hits his arm a bit harder than she meant to. "Oh so that's what we're doing" he said putting his arms up ready to spar.

"Oh please like you've got a chance" she put her fists up and goes to punch him which he blocks

"You've got better than that princess" he teases. He blocks a few more punches before she sweeps his legs causing him to land on the grass below them.

"Looks like I won" she smiles as she sits on her knees next to him laying on his back

"Maybe this time" he says sitting up. She stands up and puts her hand out to help him up. When he gets up they are standing pretty close and they don't let go of hands, they look at each other for a moment before Eli kisses her. She lets go on his hand and moves her hands to the back of his neck and his go to her waist. After a few seconds they pull away.

"We've got to stop meeting like this Eli" she jokes

"You're such a weirdo" he laughs kissing her again.
