"Did you see the video I sent of last year's Sekai Taikai?" Eli asks Jess and Miguel as they walk into the dojo. The day before they had been told they were going to be competing against Cobra Kai to try and get a place in the Sekai Taikai.

"Who knew people could kick that high" Miguel says

"Or that hard" Jess adds

"Guess that's why it's the biggest competition in the world" Sam comments after over hearing.

"I heard last year's winners did a car commercial in Taiwan" Eli says

"Imagine being in a commercial" Mitch says "what would you do with all that money?"

"Buy a yacht with a hot tub. Fill it up with smarties and hotties" Chris replies and everyone laughs.

"All right all right. Let's not get ahead of ourselves" Daniel says walking over to them with Chozen and Johnny. "Remember, Cobra Kai is gonna do everything they can to get a spot. And if they win this time, kids all over the world are gonna have to deal with the same crap you guys have gone through"

"But if we win we can show how to stop them" Sam adds

"First you must prove you can compete with best" Chozen tells them

"But in order to do that, you have to be better than the best" Johnny explains "which is why we're gonna kick your asses into high gear"

"Sensei Lawrence, Sensei Toguchi and I are gonna get you ready for the presentation" Daniel says "so come on, let's get warmed up"

"Move those asses!" Johnny shouts

The presentation when smoothly. So smoothly that the judges couldn't decide whether to send them or Cobra Kai. This meant that two fights from each dojo would have to fight each other.

Daniel took Sam and Jess outside to talk to them about it.

"Since you're both great fighters we think it's only fair to just flip a coin and see who it lands on" Daniel explains to the girls "anyone have a preference?"

"I'll be tails" Jess says quickly

Daniel nods at her "yeah okay. Jess is tails" he looks at Jess "and Sam is heads" he looks at Sam. They watch as he flips the coin and places his hand on top to not show what side. He slowly moves his hand revealing it was heads. Jess sighs. "Guess that means Sam's fighting"

Jess gives a small smile, she was slightly disappointed she couldn't fight but still happy that it was Sam fighting since she is also really good.

It turned out that Eli was also fighting. They walked into the Cobra Kai dojo. Jess looked around is awe and shock, she couldn't believe how nice it looked and how modern it all was.

The line up and see that Kenny was also fighting. Jess scoffs "you're so clear" she says to Eli

"Trust me, I know" he responds

She watches at Kenny walks away from Robby after speaking to him. She goes over to Robby.

"What was that?" She asks

"you know what it's like to be in Cobra Kai" he says to her "it's not him talking, it's Silver"

"I'll shut him up" Eli tells them

"Don't go too hard on him" Robby says

Eli and Kenny were up first. Jess was stood next to Miguel and Robby. She was surprised when the fight started and she saw Kenny attacking very aggressively. He manages to get the first point.

On the second round Eli had picked up on Kenny's fighting approach and started defending. Eli jumped and kicked Kenny.

"Out of bounds!" The ref shouted

"What the hell!" Jess exclaims to her boyfriend's defence.

The fight continued. The next round Kenny good an illegal strike meaning no point. Just as the fourth round starts Kenny punches Eli straight in the chest and he falls to the floor. Jess notices he is suffering and crouches down next to him and her dad also comes over.

"Hawk what's wrong?" Johnny asks

"Cant...can't breathe" Eli responds and Jess puts her hand on his leg as he lays there.

"Can you continue?" The ref asks. Jess found that a ridiculous question to ask so she slightly rolls her eyes.

Eli moves to try and get up but falls back to the ground.

"Where's the medic!" Johnny shouts

"You okay?" She asks Eli and he nods slightly, it must have already been getting better.

"That's a forfeit!" The referee claims "winner, Payne!" He holds up Kenny's hand. Jess looks up with a pretty disgusted look on her face 'is this for real?' she thinks to herself. She catches the look in Tory's face while everyone else celebrated, something was definitely wrong.

"Think he's okay" the medic says and Jess looks back down, leaving her thoughts. "Just got the wind knocked out of him"

Kenny walked back onto the mat "looks like you've got a new name. Faux Hawk" he tells Eli

Jess just looks at him. She was so over this shit, who does he think he is. Jess, Johnny and Daniel all help Eli up.

Jess sits on a bench just out of the way with Eli and her dad. It was announced that Tory wasn't there and Devon was going to fight. Jess knew there was no way Devon would win this but she was more preoccupied thinking about why Tory had left. Jess noticed before that she looked a bit uncomfortable but why leave without telling anyone.

She shook it off and tried to just watch the fight. Her dad was continuing to talk to Eli but she was only half listening in.

Sam started fighting much better making there no doubt about her getting points. Sam ended up winning the fight and as much as Jess was happy she could see how devastated Devon was. She still got up and hugged Sam with everyone else.

Everyone stood on the sides waiting for the judges final verdict. "We've reached an agreement" one of them announces "as expected, you've impressed up with skills, precision and discipline of the new Sekai Taikai" he pauses "Cobra Kai!" He says and Jess lowers her head in disappointment "as for the other dojos, we admire your unusual mix of styles and underdog spirit... and we think you could be a unique addition to the competition." Everyone looks up confused "that's why we've decided your dojo has also qualified"

Everyone starts to hug and cheer together in celebration.

Johnny tells Jess, Robby and Miguel that he was taking Carmen and Rosa out for dinner tonight, allowing them to host a party in celebration. They took that offer and it turned out that lots of people showed up.

"This is insane" Miguel says to Jess "how did so many people hear about this?"

Jess stood next to Eli "moon invited a ton of people from East Valley" Jess tells him "guess the word got out"

She could feel Eli wrap an arm around her waist to pull her closer. "How about you go talk to a girl" Eli suggests to Miguel.

"I don't know" Miguel shrugs

"Oh come on! Live a little" she says pushing his shoulder and he gives in and walks off to find someone. She watched him walk away before turning around to face Eli.

"Hm where were we again" she smiles and kisses him.
