Her and Wednesday had met up at the lake. It was pouring down with rain. She arrived, Wednesdays hair soaking wet, her mascara running. Enid had turned up late, not wanting to give Wednesday any satisfaction.

"Hey Sinclair" the raven haired girl whispered, placing her hand on her cheek wiping away a raindrop on Enid's cheek.

Enid shaking her head, trying to push off her hand. She could feel the tears brimming on her eyelid. "No"

The smaller girl swept part of the taller girls hair behind her ear. "I missed you" the girl whispered.

"No. Wednesday"

"Please Enid. I'm sorry"

Enid could feel her heart warm, but she couldn't let her feelings toward her to get in the way.

Wednesdays hand moved under her chin, slowly pulling her into a soft kiss. "Wednesday. Please you're going to make it harder for me to leave"

"Then don't" she said as she kissed around her cheek, her neck, her shoulders, her hands.

That was until she noticed Enid's stiffness. How her body no longer reacted to her touch. Despite how Enid had to force herself to stop her reactions revealing themself. A million knives to the both of their chests.

"I can't do whatever this is anymore"

There they stood facing each other. Infront of the lake that spread across the land to the side of them. The moonlight no longer reflecting a spotlight- like light onto them. This time, it was pure darkness. Parallel to the time at the campsite. This time it was different.

"Enid we can work this out"

"Can we? I did everything for you. I mean, I literally ruined myself for you. And you do nothing in return?" Her hands throwing around in the air, as Wednesdays body now became stiff. Tears escaping from her eyes. Enid held hers back. "We're done Wednesday"

Enid took a step back. Taking in the moment. She felt herself hold back her tears for too long. One last glance was all she needed. Whereas Wednesday stood. She didn't leave. The rain crashing down on her as she watched Enid walk away. She watched as she never looked back. How she never came running back changing her mind.

Wednesday knew that she didn't deserve the love Enid gave her. Maybe it was for the best. But she couldn't help but think of what it could've been if everything worked out, if she were better.

— 4 weeks later —

Enid had spent the past 4 weeks hanging out with her friends, on vacation and spending time alone. She managed to get into a better place.

She remembered moments during the time where her Yoko and Liv went to the river. All of them pushing each other into the river. Then when they went to get ice cream immediately after. Whereas Wednesday was trapped practically begging for her school holidays to end faster.

She made it to school. Discarding everyone in her way. Enid never showed up to science class. A sense of loss flowed through the raven haired girl. She felt herself longing for her touch, or her smile, one more time.

She noticed how Enid walked past her, smiling with her friends as if nothing happened. She finally realised how Enid felt, when she treated her exactly the way she treated her. She mentally promised herself to get better.

She walked behind Enid's table, where Tyler was sat. "Tyler we need to talk"

She noticed how Enid turned around as her friend's stared at her and Tyler with pure disgust. The raven haired girl keeping her head down as they walked past.

It had been quite a while since they talked. Enid didn't see Wednesday on her way to class, not that she should care, but she seemed serious. And of course she still cared about her, she wouldn't want anything to happen to her.

The brunette girl walked around the school, finally at the football pitch. Noticing Tyler who was in his football uniform warming up. That was until she heard small cries coming from the changing rooms. Wednesdays cries.

She mentally prepared herself before walking in, seeing Wednesday covered in blood and green bruises on her face.

"Wednesday?"

The brunette girl immediately ran over to the girl sat on the floor. Wrapping her arm around her cautiously. "What the hell happened?"

The raven haired girls body jolting up and down harshly. Her breath hitching as she struggled to stabilise her breathing.

"Hey breathe with me it's okay" The brunette girl said, holding Wednesdays hands tightly. Helping her breathe calmly. She noticed bruises all up her arms, and faded marks of old bruises.

"Was this Tyler?" Enid said immediately.

All Wednesday could do was nod. She watched as Enid's jaw clenched. Her hands removing off of hers, and tensing her fist immediately. The raven haired girl was too late grabbing a hold of her as she stormed out of the changing room, again leaving her. Alone.

Enid of course had no clue what she was doing. She felt a glow in her, a spark light. Her dynamite had started to turn on. She had waited, so long for this moment. Whatever the moment was.

She watched as Tyler's smirk crept onto his face as she stood in front of him. Her jaw still clenched. Her eyes furrowed. His smirk pissed her off even more. His smirk being the fuse to his fire, until the dynamite exploded.

Her arm expanding behind her head Before immediately pushing through right into his face. Her fist tensing even more as she felt the contact. He wobbled backwards as her hand pulled away.

"You're dead" he said before pouncing towards her. All the footballers watching in a circle around them. Enid had held him as they both stood, hands on shoulders "I know about what happened with you and Wednesday"

Enid immediately pushed him back before standing there, fists tensed beside her.

"You really thought I wouldn't notice you were hooking up with my slutty girlfr-"

Another punch to the face. She felt the sting but enjoyed it. He finally stumbled back, falling over onto the grass. "Don't call her that"

"What that she is a whore?"

Another punch.

"You're a dick" Enid said through punches to his face. Blood pouring out his nose as she straddled on top of him continuing to fight him. This time the blood blurred. Her tears blurring every inch of her vision.

She felt hands grip onto her arms pulling her off as she continued to punch the beaten up boy laid on the floor.

"I hope you fall in a ditch" she said as she finally got pulled away, spitting blood out of her mouth after one of his punches at her face. She noticed as Wednesday watched her getting dragged away from the body on the floor.
