It had taken time to show that there was a dirt covered hatch that the bush further hid, I had to climb in to show them that there was nothing there. I had warned them to enter inconspicuously, trying not to attract the attention of late joggers or cyclers. It was nerve-racking to try and keep an eye out, but in the end we had all made it with no incident.
Hannah's POV
We crawled inside, climbing down a ladder as we did so, it made me quite anxious when we ended up in the dark. Where were we?
'Mark?' Someone called up, sounded like one of the girls,
'Yellow?' He answered back,
'Where are we?' She called, speaking my thoughts, I began to make out Lucy's voice.
'You'll see once I switch the lights on...' He said, after the echo of footsteps and the click of a switch, the room was lit.
'Oh my Jesus Christ, where'd you find this?' I breathed, I turned to find him behind us. The room was made entirely out of concrete, my voice echoing back to me, do I really sound like that?
'This is where we'll be practicing our...traits,' he explained as he sat onto a lone chair right at the centre of the room. I feel like I should've noticed that sooner, I looked around the room finding a lone door at the opposite corner. The ladder we had climbed down to the left of the switch used to turn the lights on.
'Our 'traits'?' Jake queried as the others still looked around,
'Well, you want to get to know what you're capable of right?' He grinned, he raised a hand and flicked a finger. At the same time, the ground beneath him rippled outwards and the room changed into a rain forest, he flicked again and it changed into a beach.
'Yeah, make it hotter why don't you,' Oscar remarked, Mark sighed and flicked his finger again,
'Thanks John,' he called out,
'John?' James asked,
'Well, yeah. He always arrives first doesn't he? He's just the control room,' Mark explained, pointing to the door in the corner.
