Ride the Lightning

Tom's POV
I look around the room, everyone just acted really awkwardly. Might as well try this. So, the Metallica album corresponds to what I can do. Kill them all won't be appropriate then, I guess. Behind, Jake pounds at the wall, the first success in this first day. I close my eyes and think, taking out my Nokia, I put on my ear phones and play the 74 Metallica tunes on shuffle. I feel a shiver run through my body, Fade to black, then all I could think about was to play along with that Esp Ltd with the iron cross. Mark walks over without my noticing at that moment, I reach out a hand and sparks run through my body.
'Oh my god Tom, what the fuck?!' Shouted Ffion,
'Calm it there,' Euan Mackay advices, facing away from me as he practices his speed. The song reaches its climax and the sparks turn to full on lengths of pure electricity, I concentrate the tingling feeling into my outstretched hand. Then suddenly it all gets too hot to handle, I try to release the power but it's too late, lightning flashes from my hand causing me to look away. I feel something heavy in my hand, but after months of experience with an instrument of this sort it's obvious what it is.
'Great job Tom,' Mark pats my back, he almost reminds me of a teacher...what a cunt,
I open my eyes to find the instrument of my dreams in my hold. A smile crawls across my face and I turn to show it off to the others,
'Guys,' I say, the animated activity dies down, I lift my hand up in an attempt to make a show of it,
'I need a target,' I ask, then one appeared from the ground, that was quick, John is the one running this. The song ends and another begins, I play the opening riff, electricity zaps through the Esp. Then a single strum, thunder booms as lightning appears from its neck and into the now obliterated target. I could get used to this,
'Yes G,' Oscar says, playing around with what looked like snakes made out of the concrete of this place.
'Oscar, stop playing with those dildos,' I simply say to the laughter of the rest. This was really becoming a normal thing.
