I begun to ignore Liam after our, argument. I didn't care, I mean he was the one that started it. Great, now I sounded like a year 6, trying to act like I was better than everyone else.
"No Amie, its like I don't know you at all."
Those words kept replaying in my head though. I couldn't stop thinking about it. Liam of all people, I don't know why I care about him so much.
I decided to do some, investigating. Starting off with the source of this rumor, Sam. I found him in the center, with Liam and Nate. Luke and Max were apparently somewhere else. I didn't care about anyone else, I needed to speak to Sam.
"Hey, Sam." I said walking up to him, feeling Liam's sharp glare on me. "Can we talk?" "Yeah, sure." Sam agreed, we walked out of earshot of his friends. "I need to ask you about..." I paused, how was I meant to word this? "About, where you got the idea I was dating Nate." I assumed he'd say Nate said it, according to the messages Liam sent Lilah. But still, I had to make sure. Before I went up and confronted Nate about this absurd incident. "Uh, Nate told me. Why, something wrong?" Sam asked, he was being serious for once, which proved he was telling the truth. Normally, he's the goofy type, that will say what he wants, when he wants. That's probably why he got himself in as much trouble as he did, but was as funny as he was. "Nothings wrong." I sigh, giving him a warm smile, which I received back from him. "Alright." Sam said. "That all?" "That's all." I excused him, I walked back with him, my eyes looking directly at Nate, ignoring Liam. Why would Nate make such a statement? He didn't even console me. He did say he had an ex from his former school, so if he wanted to make her jealous of something, he could've asked me first, it was likely I'd say yes, to help out a friend who's been nothing but good to me. But now I was stuck, how do I confront him.
I slowly, but kept a steady pace, walked up to Nate. Who was already smiling at me, not his usual smile. Something I had never seen before. "Can I talk to you, alone please?" I asked Nate who nodded.
We got to the same spot me and Sam were just at a moment ago. "I wanted to ask-" "About the bold statement, I announced whilst in Spain." Liam interrupted me, with the correct answer. "Yes." I have a slight nod. "Listen, Amie." Liam lightly tucked a strand of my hair behind my ear. "I want you to date me, I won't say why. You just will." Liam's voice switched from a sweet, friendly tone, to a commanding and an unbothered tone. "What? No!" I say loudly. Not loud enough for it to be classed as a shout but not quiet to be a regular tone. "No?" Liam looked around to make sure no one could hear us, before placing all his attention back to me. "If you don't, pour Liam will suffer consequences for you actions." I froze. Liam? Consequences? What was going on? "Now you probably think I can't do anything to him, but I can do more than what you think. You don't know me, Amie. So just agree me and you are dating and get on with it." Like hell I would. "If you don't, then...well, as I told you Liam, but also your poor friend Lilah too." I gasped. What the hell. This guy was psycho. "We never had this conversation, you understand?" He asked, I was to stunned to reply. He pulled my hair, with a lot of force. "I said, you understand, Amie?" This time more commandment was placed in his voice. "Yes..." I said, before he let go of my hair. "I'm sorry, darling. I didn't want to go there. But you just wouldn't listen." Nate said before walking away.
