"You really are annoying, you know that?" I chuckle

"You really are annoying, you know that?" I chuckle.
"So are you." Amie comments.
"Yeah, but my dad didn't leave me." I say.

I realize what I just said. I didn't mean to go that far. I begin to feel really bad. I want to say sorry but, I'd look weak for it. Before I know it, Amie runs away. I begin to feel guilty. I want to chase after her, but why? She's just some pathetic loser.
I begin to try convincing myself that it's not my fault she's a loser. It's not my problem if she can't handle a little joke.
My friends are laughing about it, so I join in.

It's finally the last lesson of the day. Amie is sitting next to me, but she hasn't said a word. I don't blame her. The bell rings and I grab my stuff before leaving. Amie does the same thing.

I walk down the school entrance stairs, to find my personal driver waiting for me. I get into the car and then we drive off.

When I get home, I go straight to my room and play video games. I play with my friends for hours.

After I had my dinner, I went back upstairs. My mum and dad were always busy. So I barely saw them. Most of the time they didn't want to see me. But for some reason, they texted me to go to the living room and meet them, so I did.

I sit down on a seat, next to the sofa where my parents were sitting.
"Son, how was your first day back at school?" My father asked me.
"Good." I say.
"You better not be talking to any, poor people. They're despicable!" My mother spat, whilst filing her nails and admiring them.
"Darling...please, let the boy speak." My father spoke. My parents barely agreed on anything. My mother, wanted me to live a wealthy life, and to marry another wealthy family. However, I didn't want that. It took me forever to convince them to let me to go to a private school. I just wanted a normal childhood.
"Um...school was good." I say.
"Good. Good." My father says.
"Anything else?" My mother said, clearly uninterested.
"No, mother." I say.
"Alright then, you may leave." She says. My father looks like he wanted to say something but stops himself and just smiles instead. Is this all they called me for. It wasn't even a proper conversation. Whatever.
"Why are you still here?" My mother looks at me sternly.
"Oh, sorry mother. I'll leave now." I say, leaving and going back to my room.

I get dressed and go to bed since it was late.

The next day, my alarm goes off. I turn it off and look at my phone before getting up. My phone is buzzing with messages from the 'Year 11 Boys' group chat.

               Year 11 boys:

Sam: Liam, dude are you going to football tryouts tomorrow at lunch?

Max: He better!

Luke: Come on Liam! The team needs you!

Me: I'll see.

I was definitely going but I like making people wonder, before I act.

I walk into school and the board for football tryouts is next to me, I sign my name on the paper. I find my friends at the center of the school, I see Amie there too, on the same bench as yesterday. She's reading a book, she looks up for a moment and spots me, but immediately goes back to her book.

The bell rings and I head to class again. She sits next to me and says nothing. Class begins and the teacher begins to teach.

"We will be doing a project on Global warming. This project will be done in pairs." Our teacher, Mr Brown says. Everyone looks at their best mate. I look at Sam on the other side of the room and he does the same.
"Ahem. I will be choosing the partners." Mr Brown says, making everyone sigh in disappointment. "It will be the person you sit next to that you will work with." He says.
"Seriously!" I argue.
"Liam Evans, unless you want to get an F on this project, I suggest you make deal with it." Mr Brown glares at me. I roll my eyes.

After school, I hear someone calling my name. It's Amie.
"We need to do the project so who's house are we doing it at?" Amie asks. I roll my eyes.
"I guess mine. There's no way I'm going to yours." I say, mostly because my mother wouldn't let me go, but she didn't need to know that.
"Okay, I'll just text my mum." Amie says getting out her phone. I stand there waiting.
"Done." She says.
"Okay let's go to my car, it's outside the school steps." I say.
"You drive?" Amie says confused.
"I have a driver." I say. She looks shocked. "Come on." I roll my eyes.
