This was going to be harder than I thought. Lying to people. I texted Nate. I needed to know why he wanted us to fake date all of a sudden.

                     Nate:

Me: Why do you want to fake date all of a sudden?

Nate: Why does it matter?

Me: Just answer me. Please.

Nate: It's complicated.

Me: Not really. I honestly doubt that you could do something out of us fake dating.

Nate: You don't think I could use us fake dating to my advantage?

Me: No.

Nate: Then why don't you enlighten me and elaborate on that.

Me: You're the most least unfriendly person ever.

Nate: Well if you think that, then you obviously don't know who I am.

Me: Whatever.

Nate: That all?

Me: No you didn't answer my question.

Nate: I don't need to. You're question will have an answer when I feel like answering.

Nate was becoming so insufferable. I wanted to tell Liam the truth, but I didn't know how. Because if I told Liam then, Nate might hurt him and Lilah. So I decided not to tell anyone and just go along with it. But like me being me, I still wanted to find things out. So I was going to ask Liam tomorrow why he doesn't like Nate.

The next day, I saw Liam. I walked up to him to ask him my question. That may lead to more questions, knowing how nosy I am.
"Hey Liam. Can we, uh, you know...talk?" Why was I so nervous, maybe it was because I was worried for Liam and Lilah. Also the fact that Nate is giving me and Liam a death glare. Me and Nate made eye contact for a split second before he looked away. I brought Liam far away from everyone who was around us, so Nate wasn't in earshot.

"What did you want to talk about?" Liam asked me, his tone was unreadable, I couldn't tell I'd he was mad from our last conversation or if he forgot about that.
"Um, well..." I paused. "When we first met Nate."
"What about it?" Liam asked, his voice had a hint of anger.
"Why did you judge him straight away, without getting to know him?" I asked.
"I do know him, very well actually." Liam said.
"How?" I was so confused.
"Ever heard of Carpenters International Tech Company?" The name Liam said was unrecognizable.
"Uh, what?" I gave a confused look.
Liam sighed.
"CITC?"
I shook my head.
"Never heard of it." I said. "How does this even relate to Nate?" I asked, confused how this related.
"How the hell do you get A+ in all your subjects but yet, you're this dumb?" I gave Liam a death glare.
"Okay! Okay! I'm sorry!" Liam put his hands up.
"I want to know the truth." I looked at him.
"The truth? You sure?" Liam asked a
"Yes. I'm sure." I said without hesitation.
"Alright if you say so." Liam paused. "Just Liam is apart of the Carpenter family. His dad owns CITC. My dad owns Evan's International Technology and Internet Corporations, also known as EITIC. They've had...conflict for years. Me and Nate have never gotten along for this reason." Liam said. His story seemed quite believable.
"Thank you." I said.
"You're welcome." Liam replied.

After our conversation we didn't talk after that not even in class.
