That conversation, could've went better. But something wasn't right. I've known Amie for long enough, even if we weren't friends for a while. She always rambles when she's nervous or lying. She's not a good liar too, which makes it easy to tell when she's lying.
It was still lunch, so I found Nate. "We need to talk. Now." I gave no fucks about how my tone sounded. I wanted answers and I wanted them now. Nate gave me a shit-eating grin, "Sure Liam. What do you need." I led him into a part of the school where no one goes. "Are you forcing Amie to day you?" I asked, I wasn't wasting any time. "Straight to the point I see. How bold of you." Nate smirked. "Don't go off topic." I said, like I said I wanted answers now. "What makes you think I'd force a lovely girl like Amie, who by the way you still haven't made a move on, date me? She wanted me and not you, fair is fair. So no I didn't force her." Nate said, he was lying. "Bullshit." I grabbed him by the t-shirt. "Tell me. The goddamn truth, Nate." I said. "It is the truth." Nate said, still trying to act like he did nothing wrong. "You are really getting on my nerves." He really was at this point. I wasn't going to let Amie be in a relationship she didn't want to. "Really. Best compliment I've received so far." Nate just looked at me. I let him go. "And what you said earlier, 'fair is fair' is a bunch of crap. Because I know Amie didn't willingly go into a relationship with you." I said. "Oh? And what would you know about fairness. You kill innocent people all the time. Don't you, Liam?" I knew that last question wasn't said to be answered. "You really are a sick bastard." That was the final thing I said to him before I walked away. I heard him say something in the distance, but I refused to listen. I was too pissed, I needed proof that Amie didn't want to date him. But how, because Amie surely wouldn't admit it. Especially knowing the Carpenters, they never played nice it's always dirty with them. So Nate has probably threatened Amie with her life, or to hurt, someone she cares about a lot.
