Amanda's POV
The sound of my bedroom door opening interrupted my restless sleep. I looked up to see Kyle walking towards me. There was no light coming through the window telling me it was still late.

Kyle stood over me with a tired smile on his face, "Just go back to sleep princess." He said sliding into bed next to me.

"Okay." The tingles washed over my body as I nestled into his side and drifted quickly back to sleep.

"Wake up sweetheart." I heard my dad say from outside the door, "Your Alpha is going to introduce you to the pack at 9:00."

"K Gdnignt." I slurred rolling over into the empty bed.

"I you have an hour don't be la-" he started.

I shot out of bed, "An hour!!!" I screamed. "Thanks Dad, I've gotta get ready now though." Only then did I remember Kyle sleeping next to me last night. I looked over and there was no sign of anyone sleeping there... Must have been a dream... I reasoned.

I rushed into the huge bathroom and showered. When I finished I dried off and wrapped a towel around my body to protect it from my wet hair. I blow dried my hair a little so it was dryer then straightened it dry. Once that was done I pulled on an emerald green dress to match my eyes. It went down to just above my knees and covered both shoulders. I had a brown belt in the middle that matched my shoes. After putting on a little eyeliner and lipgloss I was ready to go.

I walked into the kitchen 30 minutes after my dad woke me up. Monet, Kyle's mom, was sitting at the counter with a plate of almost finished food in front of her while Kayla was watching from the stove.

"You need to give me your recipe," Monet was saying, "this is delicious!"

"I'm afraid it's a family secret." Kayla said smiling at her. Just then I walked in and they both looked up. "Ah, good morning Amy." Kayla said dishing some of said delicious food onto a plate. "Here let me get you some breakfast, we can't have you going hungry on this very important day."

"Thanks." I smiled and took the plate. "Oh my word, this is delicious!" I exclaimed after my first bite then said jokingly. "No wonder my dad married you."

"Let's hope that's not the only reason." Kayla laughed.

15 minutes later I had finished eating and was sitting on the counter talking to Monet and Kayla about a shopping trip we were planning as 'mother daughter bonding' they both already considered me their daughter which was a little weird, but I could get used to it. Kayla and Monet were currently reminiscing on the fashions when they were my age. Which for Kayla was a century ago and for Monet it was 20 years ago. But they didn't let their age differences stop them from quickly becoming best friends.

Kayla was busy telling Monet about some dress her mom gave her. "For my fifteenth birthday, my mom made me this gorgeous skirt piece that you put over your dress. It was black and had different color flowers embroidered into it. Then I had a sort of 'coming out' party. Fifteen was like eighteen is now. It's when we were old enough to find our mates and settle down. My whole family had a huge party, and I ripped my new dress right down the front. It was one of the most-"

I knew he was there before I heard him. "Morning Princess." Kyle said. And his warm arms wrapped around my back. He gently tugged me across the counter and pulled me into his arms. "I missed you." He mumbled quietly into my ear.
