Amanda's POV

"Daddy!!!" I squealed as I ran up to the black sports car in my driveway.

"Hello sweetheart." He said as he walked around the car to open Kayla's door. I waited until he'd helped her out of the car, then I jumped onto him.

"Kayla." I said nodding her way. I turned back to my dad. "You have a lot of explaining to do." I said in a serious tone.

"I know," he said taking Kayla's hand and following me inside. "I was hoping this day would never come."

"What, you thought I'd never know that you and mom aren't even human." I tried to sound mad, but honestly I was emotionally exhausted and the only thing I wanted to feel was happy. I lead him into the living room where I saw Tori sitting on the couch.

"You guys can sit here," I said leading them to the other couch, "I'll just go get mom." I walked into the doing room where I'd guessed she'd be.

"Hey mom dad's-" I froze and looked into MUAM's eyes. My heart fluttered like a bird in a cage. I felt like I needed to set it free, but I didn't know how or why. I stared into his beautiful blue eyes for a second before shaking the feeling off. "Hello Kyle." I said nodding to him. "I didn't know you'd planned on coming." I gave my mom a why-didn't-you-warn-me look.

"I just came to keep an eye on things." Kyle said.

"Alright, well let's get started then." I said. We walked into the living room and I saw dad immediately stood up and glared at Kyle. I tried to ignore it as I begun the introductions. "Dad this is Kyle. The alpha, I think." Kyle gave a nod. "Kyle, this is my dad Nathan Cerasos. (Pronounced che-ra-so-s)"

"As in the billionaire?" Tori asked.

"Millionaire, common mistake." I said.

"Actually," my dad said looking smugly at Kyle. "The deal I just closed in the Middle East brought us into the billions. By this time next year, my profit will have doubled." I noticed how he said will have instead of should, it's like he already knows.

"Anyway, let's get started. If we could all take a seat." I stated looking at Kyle and my dad. Mom had already sat down by Tori. Kyle had brought in two chairs from the kitchen he sat them down right next to each other and motioned for me to take one. I sat, then watched as my dad and Kyle lowered themselves into their seats at the same time. "Okay daddy. I was promised answers. Ready go."

"Alright. There are currently four species you don't know about. All part of the Magical realm. These are nymphs, vampires, werewolves, and seers. I'll leave the explaining to the respective species. Kayla my dear, if you'd like to start." Dad said turning to his wife.

"There are currently about 850,000 nymphs roaming the earth. We are much like humans, but a little stronger and faster. The biggest differences are that we can draw energy from nature and live for many centuries, unless mated to a seer or vampire, both live forever so our lives are connected to theirs." When she said this she looked at my dad out of the corner of her eye, a small smile gracing her lips. "We live in groups of 8-12 called families. They usually consist of friends, mates and occasionally small children, not blood relatives. There is not much I can say now about my people, I can tell you more later. But i can say we live mainly in Latin America and the Pacific Islands and we are lead by a queen."
