Officially the longest wait yet;D

S/O to all those old men buried 6ft under who signed the Declaration and showed them Brits you mean business (no offense). Special thanks to John Hancock for not being self conscious and to Mr. Washington himself for becoming the first leader of this country even though ya didn't want to. You guys are great.

Now onto the story...

Amanda's POV

The dining room was filled with people from all over the pack. We were led to the head of the table by Kyle. Normally, being his mate, he said I would sit on his left; however, because we were kinda keeping that a secret, I sat one to his left next to Monet. My dad sat to my left, his mate next to him, and Kyle's aunt, and the female beta, sat across from me to the right of her mate.

The dinner started out normal, with spectacular food and small talk. By the time the third course (of seven they ate a lot as werewolves) came I was about ready to burst. Instead of allowing my abdominal bodily organs to fall onto the table, however, I decided to pick at my food and make small talk to Monet and my dad. I hadn't talked to Kyle once, seeing as he'd been in his 'alpha mode' talking to his beta and answering only direct questions.

Right now my dad is talking to Kayla, and Monet is in a deep discussion with Kyle and I'm just here, picking at my food and eavesdroppping on an older couple across the table and a couple seats down from me.

"So, what do you think about the seers the alpha brought home?" The woman asked the man.

"I don't know what he was thinking trusting them." The man responded, "I mean, the king, I understand, he has to be peaceful and kind, but the girl..."

"I know! She'll probably say she's gonna help us, then turn her back at the last minute." The woman whispered back.

"Or worse, she won't be able to do anything." The man whispered. By his time a werewolf sitting next to the woman joined in.

"I heard, she didn't even know she was a seer until recently." She said.

"She probably doesn't even know what she's talking about." The man said.

"She'll probably just get in front of everyone and freeze up." The woman said back, speaking my fears.

"She'll kill us all." The man said solemnly. Luckily they were interrupted by the next course being brought out.

The rest of the dinner flew by, but the words never left my head, 'she'll kill us all'. What if he was right? What if I did freeze up? What if me 'helping' would just end up killing everyone? Don't get my wrong, I had had doubts before, but this wasn't me second guessing myself, this was someone else pointing out what was deep inside me. I don't think I can do this, it's too much.

The seventh course finally came and left, we followed short after. Most people met in one of the gathering rooms, but I decided to go to sleep. It had been a long hard day. Plus, now I knew that I had practically sentenced 900 innocent people to death. Let's just say someone didn't sleep well that night.

I woke up the next morning and looked over at my clock. 10:30...

"Shiz!" I jumped out of bet and ran into Kyle's room. "Why didn't you get me up? We have so much to get done today and-" just then Kyle walked out of his bathroom in a towel... only a towel.

"Morning Gorgeous," he smirked, "like what you see?" He added.

"Pfft," I composed myself, "I've seen better, I mean it's not like i've never seen a half naked men before." Which was true; I had seen shirtless men before just not as flawless as him.
