Kyle's POV

I couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong. I was currently in the woods, about half a mile from the pack house. Close enough to be back in less than a minute if needed. The sun showed it was about 3:45, Williams wolves had attacked around 15 minutes ago, and the winner was already clear. At first we had approached ready to kill, however, seeing the small number of wolves, I opted to capture as many as possible instead. What surprised me the most, is the fact that, even though they knew they were beat, the wolves didn't retreat or surrender. I knew this had to be a decoy, so I left 30 able bodied warriors at the pack house. Only taking 40 with me, which was plenty even compared to their 50-60. The majority of the wolves were untrained and young. The ages went from around 14-17, with around 20 older men. It was sad really.

I pounced on an oncoming wolf, quickly pinning him down, while Jeremiah, a younger warrior, carefully secured a silver armband around his paw, causing him to shift. Jeremiah then placed a patch on his neck immediately knocking him out. I then proceeded to the next wolf. If went on like this for another 15 mins, before we had almost all the wolves unconscious with silver armbands.

I had just stepped off an unconscious boy when I heard a voice in my head. Alpha! What sounded like Joseph mind link me, They've got her! Someone came and called Amanda out of the safe room. She said it was her dad, but I knew you would have mind linked me. We were all asleep, I was able to injure one man, but he shot me, then got away with the other two. Aaron passed out from blood loss.

My whole wolf was shaking, if I wasn't already shifted, I would have been by now. I ran off in the direction of the pack house and quickly mind linked my best two trackers. Fin, Alice, I need you two to track Amanda, my... guest. She has been taken, so follow the trail . They went out the east side of the pack house. I want her back within the hour! I growled as I arrived at the pack house. I was just in time to see Alice leading her twin, Fin, out the door. They shifted in mid air and took off towards my mate.

I shifted and ran inside ignoring my nudity. As soon as I walked in the door a pair of shorts was thrown at me. I sprinted down to the safe room trailed by my Beta. When I arrived, I grabbed Joseph by the shirt and held him up against the wall ignoring his injured leg, "what were you thinking?" I yelled, I gave you one job. One, and you failed.

"I, I'm sorry alpha." He stuttered, "it was all so fast, and the man sounded like her father then she was just gone."

I slammed him against the wall in frustration, "explain. And be clear." I growled.

"We fell asleep," I growled at their carelessness, "and next thing we know she's at the top of the ladder saying her dad was calling her. She was about to come back down when a man said, 'not so fast sweetheart' and dragged her out. Aaron jumped out to fight them, but they shot him twice. I broke one guys arm, but he shot my leg"  I slammed him against the wall again before letting him fall to the ground.

I walked over to the hidden trap door and got on my knees. I took in a long sniff of air. First I was hit by my mate's strong scent, then I smelt the slightest hint of vinegar and red peppers. I closed my eyes and went through the scents I knew, "Simons." I growled then bolted upstairs.

Amanda's POV

"Fine but you have to take the blame if we get caught." A voice scruffed into my befuddled mind.

"Alright, alright, just do it already." A whinier one said next.

I just wanted to scream at whoever was talking to shut the f up but unfortunately my mouth refused to comply. Instead I pried open my heavy eyelids to be met with a blinding light.

"She's awake." I heard scruffy voice say.

"Get back, bet back." Whiney replied and I heard quickly retreating footsteps. I turned my head to see two figures at the edge of the room.

The lights were dim and the room filled with shadows. But it was a nice room as far as I could tell. I sat up slowly from the comfortable bed I was on and cleared my throat, "Who are you? Where am I?" I asked the two men.

"Uh -er. You're in Simons house waiting for the Dark Alpha." Scruffy said hiding something behind his back and Whiney elbowed him.

"What do you have there?" I asked curiously. These men were surprisingly unthreatening.

"Just ah, um a marker..." He said pulling it out from behind his back.

"And what is this marker for?" I asked.

"Cause- um..." Scruffy started before Whiney came to his aide.

"He likes the smell of them." He said quickly.

"What are they really for?" I asked pressing for the truth.

"He said to draw a mustache on your face." Scruffy said pointing at Whiney with the marker.

"Oh come on George you tattletale." Whiney, well whined.

He dropped the marker and moved to stand by the door. "Just telling the truth." He shrugged his shoulders staring at the wall across from him.

I rolled my eyes and stood up from the bed. "The Dark Alpha you say?" I asked, starting to become frightened but hiding it cause I'm bad A.

"Yup." Scruffy-George I guess, said,

"He's the Boss." Whiny supplied.

"Sounds like a video game character." I muttered.

"Shhh." Whiney said quickly fear in his eyes. "If he hears you you'll be dead for sure."

"Yea no disrespecting the big man." George scruffed.

"Oh yea?" I said a little tipsy off fear, "you can tell your so called Alpha he can shove all his darkness up his-"

"You may not want to finish that missy." I heard a voice from the doorway.

I looked over to see a tall slim man dressed in a grey suit with a cute little green hanky in the pocket. I raised my eyebrow, shaking inside, cause sure he's got a hanky. But still I was trapped in a foreign place with strangers.

"What do you want with me?" I said deciding it was best not to test his patience.

"Oh that's simple darling." He said walking closer. "I want to use your power. Brainwash you until, you're simply a weapon of mass destruction. Then I will use you to destroy your pack and kill your own mate."
