STUPID BOYS
It was Draco Malfoy from the bank and two dark-haired boys were at his side. I assumed they were his sidekicks. I unlocked the door and let them in. I sat back down with my feet propped up on the seat across from me without a word because I didn't necessarily want them here, but they needed a seat.
Draco sat next to me while his friends sat across from him. He started rambling about this other new kid on the train, "Hey, Crabbe, Goyle! Apparently, the famous Harry Potter is on the train! Pottah survives a killing curse and now he's the centre of attention! My father says he shouldn't have survived it, he should be dead. Frankly, I think he should be too."
When I heard that, I give him a side-eye without turning my head. Why is he saying an 11 year old should be dead?
That was a mistake. Crabbe and Goyle immediately noticed my side-eye, which caught the blond boy's gaze. Suddenly, he jolted his head in my direction and I quickly turned my eyes to my book. He realised I was looking at him and he turned his body in my direction, "What's so funny, new girl?" He says with a snarky accent, he couldn't even bother to use my name.
"Did I laugh?" I answered. He was mad and didn't like that answer one bit.
"Oh, so you think you're funny? Who are you, peasant?" He exclaimed.
I slam my book shut which makes him flinch. I turn to him and speak clearly making sure he hears me, "Five things for you Draco.
One, My name is Victoria and you should address me as that.
Number two, who are you to question me? You don't know me!
Three, I'm not being funny and I don't play games.
Number four, I'm not a peasant and you would know that from our run-in at Gringotts.
And five, for my sake and yours, back off!" Once I was done yelling, I returned to my book leaving Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle speechless.
Draco scoffed at me and was quiet for the rest of the train ride, occasionally looking at me. I swear at one point or another he smiled at me, which was odd. It must've been because I was too smart for him, I don't know.
Eventually, I finished the book and I noticed they were in robes. I left the compartment to find mine and change into them. I came back to my compartment only to find the boys had locked me out of it. These kids are mean and brutal. But they had my book, so I raised my voice to ask them, "Can I at least get my book?"
Draco rolled his eyes, grabbed it and unlocked the door, giving me the perfect opportunity to get back in to the compartment. I pushed open the door and shoved him back into his seat, grabbing his tie and his attention. Crabbe and Goyle stood up to help Malfoy, but I shrieked at them to, "Sit down, if you know what's best for you!" They hushed up and slowly sat back down in fear. While grabbing at Draco's tie, I pulled him into my face, he was scared expressionless. "Number three, I. Don't. Play. Games! You wanna fight Draco? Bring it on Blondie, 'cause I will. Take. You. Down! Understood?"
He nodded, shaking. I completely scared the crap out of him. I let go of his tie and shoved him back into the seat. Crabbe and Goyle were shook at what they just witnessed. Draco was silent and completely shook and silent for the rest of the train ride. I just looked out the window smiling at what I had just done.
After a while, we finally reach Hogwarts, well not quite yet. We stopped at a train station where we all got off and followed this gigantic man. He was really tall and big. He had long matted hair and a big beard that covered most of his face, but he seemed cool.
Us first years went to a dock that had bunches of boats, but they had no paddles. I assumed there was some magic stuff to get us all across. I got into a boat with two other students, I didn't ask who they were. We started moving forward towards a large black and mysterious castle, which must've been Hogwarts.
It looked glorious to say the least.
