SLYTHERIN?

Once we reached Hogwarts we got off the boats and reached the school. We headed inside and started walking up flights of stairs, really wide and long stairs. At the top was a tall woman in long, dark robes and a witch hat with a feather. Was she a teacher? The deputy headmistress?

She spoke elegantly and loudly, "Welcome to Hogwarts. Now, in a few moments, you'll pass through these doors and join your classmates. But, before you take your seats, you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Now, while you're here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you points. Any rule-breaking and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup. The Sorting Ceremony shall begin momentarily."

She turned around and promptly left so I took the moments to reflect on what she just said. Houses? Points? House Cup? Usually people don't have houses in schools. Once she was gone, Draco, who stood to the left of me leaning on the stair rail, decided to disrupt the awkward silence, "Hey, mudblood with the blue hair!"

I turned because I was the only person with blue hair. I responded confused and annoyed, "Excuse me, Blondie. What do you want?"

All the kids went "oooooh" at my response. He did not like that one bit. He jumped off the railing he was sitting on and stood in front of me. It was unpleasant because I was shorter than him. He spoke angrily, "I'm Draco Malfoy, you do not speak to me like that and you, Victoria, are a filthy little mudblood and will treat me with respect. You better not be in my house or my father will hear about this!"

The kids gasped at his response, I didn't know what a "mudblood" was but I knew it was some wizard insult. So I retorted back, "Don't start a fight you can't finish or else bring it on, Draco."

The other kids laughed at him, so out of anger he pushed me back on the stairs and I crashed down with a thud. My skull felt cracked. When I got up, someone said my head was bleeding. I touched the back of my head and saw a wave of blood rush down my fingers. I was pissed, "Why you crumbly little ferret!!!" I lunged at him but Crabbe and Goyle held me back, "Let me go, I will mess you up blondie, mark my words!!!"

The woman came back and somehow knew what had just taken place, "We do not start fights in this school! Ten points each from both of your houses, whichever one you get! You two separate! Everyone else, please come in, they are ready for you."

"But professor? My head is bleeding," I jumped in.

"If you would please, go to the infirmary on the ground floor in the east wing," she responded. I left and I could tell Malfoy smirked at me.

It took me ten minutes, but I found the infirmary and sat down on a bed. My head was in a lot of pain. I sat there for a while with a napkin held to my head and nobody came. I walked around to find the supply room and I found medical supplies and weird vials and bottles. I took a small medical class in middle school and knew how to properly stop my bleeding. I took clean paper towels and "rubbing alcohol" and cleaned the wound, also using some saline solution. I pressed firmly on the wound to stop the bleeding while I found some bandages. I used a mirror to carefully wrap my head in the bandage. Once it was secure, the medi-witch came in, "I'm Madame Pomphrey—What in heaven's grace are you doing?"

"Wrapping my head in bandages since you weren't here to help me? As if it weren't obvious," I replied because she finally came when I'm done fixing my head.

She took a gander at my head and noticed I did an astoundingly good job. She noticed I pulled my hair out of the way to correctly secure the bandage around my head and forehead, so my hair could flow over it. She congratulated me, complimented my hair colour, and took me to the great hall. The grand doors opened and everyone looked at me with gasps. She shouted across the hall, "We have one more child to sort, Headmaster Dumbledore!"
