I couldn't stop smiling as I walked into the office the next morning. The events of the past few days had been a whirlwind, but Rishav's words kept replaying in my mind, giving me a sense of security I had never felt before.

Ritika was waiting for me by my desk, her usual bright-eyed curiosity even more intense today. I knew she wouldn't let me off the hook until I told her everything.

"Kya hua? Why do you look like you've just won the lottery?" Ritika asked, her eyes narrowing suspiciously.

I laughed, unable to contain my happiness. "Ritu, can we talk in private?"

She raised an eyebrow but followed me into the break room. As soon as we were inside, she crossed her arms and tapped her foot impatiently. "Spill. Now."

Taking a deep breath, I started, "Ritu, there's something I need to tell you. Rishav and I... we're in a relationship."

Her eyes widened, and she dropped her arms. "What? When did this happen? And why am I just hearing about this now?"

"It's complicated," I said, trying to find the right words. "We've had feelings for each other for a while, but it's been intense and confusing. I wasn't sure where it was going until recently."

She placed her hands on her hips, clearly irritated. "Intense and confusing? Kaira, we're best friends. You should have told me. Do you know how worried I've been?"

"I know, I know," I said, reaching out to touch her arm. "I'm sorry, Ritu. I didn't mean to keep it from you. I just needed to understand my own feelings first."

Ritika sighed, but her expression softened a bit. "Fine, but you better tell me everything now. How did this all start?"

I smiled, grateful for her understanding. "It's a long story. I told her everything from starting even though she knew about that elevator kiss but still.
