Author's POV:-

The night had been thick with tension, wrapping around the Shekhawat Estate like a dark fog. In the shadows, Kabir Malik's operatives moved with a practiced ease, their police disguises a mere facade for the scheme they had meticulously crafted. Their mission was a dangerous game—one that would flip the entire Shekhawat fortune upside down while elevating Malik to new heights in the criminal underworld.

The dim light of Rishav's office glowed faintly as the operatives began their clandestine work. Each movement was deliberate; every piece of evidence was chosen with care. They slipped fake documents into neatly arranged files, falsified bank statements that would lead to a labyrinth of financial ruin, and witness testimonials that named Rishav as a kingpin of embezzlement and drug trafficking. One operative, smirking as he glanced at his partner, whispered, "This will bring them down. They won't know what hit them."

With their task complete, they melted into the cover of darkness, leaving behind a meticulously woven trap set to ensnare the unsuspecting Shekhawat family.

In The Morning

Morning broke over the estate with a deceptive calm. The sun shone brightly, but inside, the Shekhawat household was cloaked in turmoil. The family was still grappling with the shock of the night's attack. Voices murmured in anxious whispers as they pondered their next move, trying to piece together the shattered remains of their plans.

Suddenly, the peace shattered, replaced by the wailing of sirens that crescendoed until they flooded the estate. A fleet of police cars pulled up, lights flashing like ominous beacons. The family rushed to the windows, confusion mingling with dread.

With precision, officers poured out of their vehicles, storming the grand entrance. One stepped forward, holding a warrant aloft as though it were the gavel of justice.

"We have a warrant for the arrest of Rishav Shekhawat on charges of embezzlement and drug trafficking," he declared with unwavering authority.

The atmosphere thickened instantly, the air heavy with disbelief. Rajvansh, Rishav's father, stepped forward, his voice a mixture of anger and disbelief. "This is absurd! My son is innocent."

The police officer, unyielding, repeated, "We have evidence. He'll have to come with us."

"Evidence?" Rishav stepped forward, his face twisted in fury and bewilderment. "This is a mistake! I haven't done anything wrong!"

Kaira, who'd been a silent witness to the chaos, moved closer to Rishav, clutching his arm as if she could anchor him to reality. Her eyes, wide with fear and confusion, searched his for answers. "There must be some misunderstanding. Rishav is innocent!"

"Save it for the court. We're taking him in," the officer replied, his tone dismissive.

The family reacted like a symphony gone wrong; Rajvansh tried to speak, but his words turned to garbled cries as the tension escalated. Officers moved in, handcuffing Rishav, while Kaira's heart shattered with each click of the cuff.

"Stay strong, Kaira. We'll get through this," Rishav turned to her, his voice steady, though his eyes betrayed the oncoming storm.

The sight of him being led away was a surreal panorama of devastation. Kaira felt tears pool in her eyes, blurring the edges of her resolve. The family could only stand frozen in shock, facing the oncoming tide of uncertainty.

As the police cars pulled away, leaving behind a portrait of distress and betrayal, seeds of doubt began to sprout in Kaira's mind. What if this was a trick? An elaborate setup? She knew Rishav, his character, his love for his family—they were solid as stone. But who would want to ruin him? Who could orchestrate something so heinous?
