Author's POV:-
The sun was just beginning to dip below the horizon, casting a golden glow on the sprawling lawns of the Singh family home. The air was thick with the sweet scent of marigold flowers and the sounds of laughter. The wedding of Kaira Singh and Rishav Shekhawat was around the corner, and the preparations had turned the house into a magical realm.
Kaira stood in front of a ornate mirror in her room, adorned in a vibrant red lehenga that shimmered under the soft light. Her mother, Prity Singh, stood beside her, fixing her hair. "You look beautiful, Kaira. Rishav won't be able to take his eyes off you," Prity remarked, her voice thick with emotion.
Kaira turned to her mother, her eyes a mix of excitement and nerves. "ma, what if I trip while walking down the aisle?" she fretted, biting her lip.
Prity laughed softly, brushing Kaira's cheek with her fingertips. "Every bride has those fears. But remember, it's your day. Just focus on Rishav and the love you share. Everything else will fall into place."
At that moment, Varun, Kaira's protective brother, stormed into the room. "Kaira! You better not leave me to deal with Rishav alone. He's even more anxious than you!"
Kaira chuckled, lightening the mood. "You mean you're worried he'll forget the ring?"
"More like I'm worried he'll mess up my hair while he's at it," Varun joked, feigning a look of horror as he ran a hand through his own hair.
Across the hall, Rishav paced in his own room, adorned in a striking sherwani designed by the family's renowned tailor. The stunning gold-work shimmered under the light, but Rishav's heart was unsettled. His father, Rajvansh Shekhawat, walked in and clapped his son on the shoulder with a proud smile. "You're about to marry the love of your life, son. Take a deep breath."
Rishav smiled. "I know, Dad. It's just... "
Rajvansh burst into laughter. "With how you love her, I can assure you that won't happen. Just remember to relax and enjoy the moment. This is a celebration of love!"
As the evening sky turned a dusky shade of pink, Kaira's best friend, Ritika Sharma, burst into the room, her enthusiasm infectious. "Kaira! You're not going to believe this, but the dance troupe we hired is amazing! They've planned a special number for you and Rishav after the pheras!"
Kaira's eyes twinkled with delight. "Really? I can't wait! We have to show them our moves."
Just then, Aradhya, Kaira's soon-to-be sister-in-law, peeked through the door. "Let's get Kaira to practice her moves! Rishav can't dance to save his life, so she will have to lead him."
Kaira laughed. "He's not that bad! He just needs a bit of practice... and a lot of encouragement!"
Meanwhile, the rest of the family was busy with final preparations. The vibrant colors of the decorations, the aroma of amazing food wafting from the kitchen, and the laughter echoing all around, created the perfect atmosphere of love and celebration.
As guests arrived, the sounds of revived old tales and clinking glasses filled the air. Among the guests were Rishav's younger brothers, Aarav and Vivan, who were engaged in a playful debate over the best wedding gift to give the couple. "How about gifting them a luxury honeymoon?" Aarav suggested, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
Vivan shook his head. "Nah, they'll probably just end up sleeping the whole time. Let's gift them something useful, like a set of fine china!"
Just then, Amit, Rishav's chote papa, joined the joke, "And how about a blender? We can't have them living only on takeout."
Amidst the joy, Kaira and Rishav shared meaningful glances across the crowded gathering, re-igniting their anticipation for the vows they were about to share. They were miles away from the chaos but close in their hearts.
