Next day, December 27th, 2018
Rosé moved into Jimin's apartment.
"Woah, it's pretty spacious here.."
She murmured
"Y-Yeah, here's your room..."
He sighed as he opened a door to another room.
"You can put your stuff here..."
He took her baggage and placed it on the floor.
"Anyways, just don't make a mess and don't be too loud. That's all..."
He said plainly as he closed the door.

Later, lunchtime. They ate instant ramyeon for lunch.
She's trying to start a conversation with him.
"Ummm...soo....how long have you been living here?"
She asked, the awkwardness palpable in the air.
"About two years already."
He answered plainly.
"Ooohhh, and do you live here alone?"
She asked, trying to sound curious.
"What do you think?"
He asked back, his voice oozing with sarcasm.
She rolled her eyes. She could just punch him right now.
She couldn't get it? Why's he being like this? She thought he liked her too.... Right? He was flirting with her like crazy....but now....
"H-Hey....Are y-"
He quickly cut her off.
"Please....Can you just shut up for a while?"
He sighed deeply, clearly annoyed.
"I was just trying to-"
She tried to defend herself.
"No, no, just....just stop, okay? I don't need you trying to get close to me.... This whole thing is just fake, remember? There's nothing special between us... Got it???"
He spoke firmly, his annoyance visible.
"But....But why.... Why were you flirting with me last time....I...I really did think y-you....You liked me too..."
Her voiced cracked.
He let out a bitter scoff.
"Like you? Well, you're completely wrong. I just liked flirting with you because you kept falling for it. You were blushing like crazy and it's so funny because you look like a total idiot, and for your information....I still like my ex, and NOBODY can replace her. Got it??"
He retorted. His voice icy cold.
"O-Oh...Okay....."
She swallowed hardly. Trying to keep her emotions in check.
She didn't even finish her food before running into her room and locking the door.
She collapsed in her bed and hugged a pillow tightly, burying her face on the pillow.
Tears streamed down her cheeks. She felt so stupid, so foolish, so gullible.
"I...I hate you...."
She sobbed loudly as she hugged the pillow tightly.

Rosé's POV
My heart aches so much right now.
Why?
What did I do to deserve this? I really thought he liked me too. I thought we had something special, but turns out he was just playing with me.
"W-Why??"
I sobbed even more as I hugged the pillow tightly.
I really thought that he probably feels the same way for me too. My unnies told me that rumor has it that he still loves his ex, TWICE Jeongyeon, but I didn't believe them.
They were right.
This is going to be the worst two years of my life.

The poor girl bawled her eyes out until night. She felt so bad and thought that these two years are going to be the worst in her life.
Yet, a part of her still yearned that maybe, just maybe, things might take a turn.
